Anybody been down to the weight room lately, just wandering how it was going.

I would think that Coach-T has it under control but I would visit the weight room.

Since were on the topic, best teams in West History (In my opinion):
1. 2002, 12-3, State Runners up
2. 1970, 9-1, Lost to Notre Dame in basically what was the State Championship Game at the time
3. 2008, 11-1, Absolutely dominant at times
4. 1990, 10-1, First Undefeated team, has only victory over Ironton
5. 1984, 9-1, lost to Boomer Reed led Portsmouth

3 and 4 are a toss up

what happened to the 88 team who was the 1st team to ever make the playoffs for West and drew Ironton at tank??? They should at least be mentioned in the conversation, IMO.

The 89 team was also a pretty good team but they lost 3games 1 loss to d3 state champ Ironton a 21-20 loss to d4 state champ Burg and s loss to Waverly who I think beat Cape in the playoffs that year.

I also feel like the 2010 team could have been one of the best teams if they were able to avoid some very key injury that hurt them a great deal.

2011 was a great team also. Watch Levi in the spring game and great to see one of our's being a Buckeye!

What is happening on the West Side of town? How many kids are in the weight room? Also how many Seniors will be on this years team?

All is quiet. I heard they were going to the marshall 7 on 7's and others like normal. But I don't know any results. Curious to hear any results and maybe a schedule of 7 on 7's to go watch.

Should be a good team. Still young, but competitive. Schedule this year is gonna be tough. Maybe the toughest in quite a few years with Liberty Union, Burg, Minford, and Valley all returning solid experienced teams. Portsmouth and Fairland both return alot and they beat us last year.

I think they are going to 7 on 7 at Point Pleasant Saturday 06/22/13.

So the scrimmage with Ironton is this Saturday at Ironton?

Scrimmage is now at West. Can't wait to see them in action. I've been hearing good things are in store with around 60 boys out to play including the freshmen.

Went to meet the team last night. Good looking group out with good numbers. O-line not as big as in years past but look stocky and athletic. Very good stable of running backs. Excited to see how well they look against Ironton.
