Wow!! Another loss to Logan, tough to take. Zach Johnson had another big game but it is definitely a struggle to get in the win column. Feel sorry for Meister, I don't think he saw this coming! When was the last time the Cavs finished next to last in the league? It could happen. Thank goodness for Jackson. Keep supporting the kids. It is easy to cheer when you are winning.

Senior Zach Johnson hits a 3 to win the game and also gets his 1000th point on the same shot. Congrats Zach and Cavs on the win over Dayton Jefferson.

Hitchbones...Could you give me the final score of Wednesday's makeup league game with Jackson, both the boys varsity and reserves? Thanks.

Congrats to Zach...that will be a memorable one for sure. Looks like we are headed for a very low seed in the tournament. Good or Bad for us? Who can we upset?

An 8/9 seed would likely mean a matchup with a scrappy McClain team and then facing a Fairland squad who hasn't played a strong schedule and lost by 30 to Piketon. Both would be very winnable games for the Cavaliers. Reaching the 7/10 would mean Jackson and then Washington CH who is full of shooters and I believe would be a tougher matchup.

I think the Cavs will have a shot to reach the Convo again, despite the rough year.

Well, I saw Fairland play Athens, although they're small, they spread you out and they have two guards that shoot lights out. I don't know how Piketon beat them by 30, but they're pretty good, based on the one game I seen. Schedule includes Athens, Piketon, Oak Hill, Boyd Co. Ky, Chesapeake, Burg is not to shabby with a 12-4 record.

But Burg under 500 and they lost to Athens, Piketon, and Oak Hill.

They aren't a bad team at all, I just think it could be a good matchup.

First time since 2009 season that the Cavs have swept the trajans. Things might just be beginning to turn for the cavaliers.

2 wins vs Jackson, 2 wins vs basically Portsmouth's Freshmen & Soph's and a Gallia & Dayton Jefferson weak team doesn't really show any promise. Sorry....We are better!!!!

Chillicothe swept the Trojans in 2009-2010 to give CHS 14 straight wins in the series........Portsmouth split with the Cavaliers in 2010-2011, and beat CHS twice last season. The schools are 3-3 in the last 3 years. The series is now tied at 43 wins apiece, with Chillicothe winning 16 of the last 19 games.

For Heaven's sake!!! Portsmouth competed this year with freshmen and sophomores. Chilli still has Zach Johnson who is one of the best players in the district. Chilli beat them by 2 and by 10. Chilli really beat up on the youngins! Chilli has yet to beat a team with a better than 500 record. Lay off the Trojans. They just went to the final four and graduated 11 seniors. The fact they could be as close as they are is either a testament to their outstanding program or a slide in Chilli's. Time to get real folks! Chilli graduated 4 seniors and Portsmouth 11 last year.

Congrats to Zack Johnson! Cavs are just flat out bad this year. Wins against Jackson who I think is one of the worst teams in SE ohio, Portsmouth who lost a dozen seniors, and are playing freshmen. I haven't seen a Cavs this bad in decades.

Cavs really handed it to WCH. Beating them by twenty.. WOW. If there is a better player in the southeatern district than Zach Johnson I want to see him. Carter?, Fletcher, French? Zach can play a one or a four. He breaks the press and then goes inside. Great game by the Cavs. I was wondering (are the Cavs that good or is WCH that bad). I think the true answer is somewhere in the middle.
