This is how I see things going........airforcejm wrote:The only problem with Chapman starting is that they will run into the innings problem that Washington faced with Strasburg. I'm glad they signed Broxton, but i'm not sure how he can do as a closer at GABP. It will be interesting to see what they do with Leake especially if he bounces back from the down year he had.
Chapman will be a starter but he will skip one or two starts a month to keep his arm fresh. So that means there will be a need for a Spot starter in the bullpen. I can even see them letting him skip 2 starts in a row sometimes in late June or early July. Also I don't see him pitching more than seven innings in any start before the all star break.
Broxton will do fin at Great American, I think he will thrive as the Reds closer

This may be overlooked but the only lefty in the pen is Marshall. I would like to see Walt pick up someone or make a move in this area.

Keep him in the minors another year. He struggled when they moved him up a level last year.BBallin fool wrote:JMO Billy Hamilton play him or trade him !!!

Re: Reds 2013
I agree he needs to start '13 in AAA. But, he hardly "struggled" with a .286/.406/.383 line as a 21 yr old at AA with 51 SBs in 50 games.Orange and Brown wrote:Keep him in the minors another year. Re: Reds 2013
He hasn't played an inning of AAA ball much less MLB, so he would have to blow everyone's mind in Spring Training to be considered. Plus, with the Reds roster, they would have to keep Hamilton over Jason Donald, who they traded for with Choo, or Hannahan, who they just signed to a guaranteed 2 year deal. Choo will be gone in '14 so the CF job will be Billy's to lose.BBallin fool wrote:Reds needs the speed .286 a low 51 sbs !!! And Stubbs AT .220 now at CLEV. ??? whos a$$$ does he needs to ki$$ !!! Nope. Have a "Scott Rolen" day or something to honor him and move on. Frazier is the guy now.BBallin fool wrote:Would the Reds benefit if Scott Rolen return? Me myself NO !!! Got to move on!

Agreed. DUH-sty does well b/c of the talent on his roster and that's it.BBallin fool wrote:If Rolen would come back Baker would play him if Frazier was even batting .500 !!! Not a Baker a fan!!!

Re: Reds 2013
I agree that Hamilton will be the starting CF...In 2014!!! I think that Rolen brings the Reds a lot of professionalism and toughness...Especially when they had such a young team!!! So I'm kind of torn on wether to bring him back or not!!! I know that there are some teams wanting him but dont know if he'll play or retire!!! Agree if the Reds resign him..Dusty will try to play him over Frazier!!!
