Thoughts on this one?
Haven't heard much about burg this year, all I know is that they return a lot from last years squad. Waverly is coming in with a 1-1 record and only returning 2 players, Philip Hart and Jean Paul White, that have any varsity experience before this year. And Hart is out with an injury for 4-6 weeks, which definitely hurts on the offensive side of the ball. Hopefully Heibal is healthy for tonight as he had 17 in the first game (5 threes I do believe), him being out Tuesday hurt a lot also as Waverly struggled on finding ways to put the ball in the bucket.

Burg will defend, that you can bet the house on every game. We will find out about both teams in just about 2 1/2 hours.

Waverly MUST take care of the ball, 27 turnovers Tuesday doomed the Tigers. Hopefully the TIgers shoot the ball better from long range with Heibel back and playing at home. I don't think Burg has much size so Waverly needs to guard the 3 ball well. If Burg isn't hitting the 3 I don't think they can beat the Tigers inside. Waverly needs a big game from a couple of the BIGS.

Burg wins. 43-25 I believe was the final. Burg games aren't fun to watch, but a road win in the SOC this year is a good win. Now get ready for Jackson tomorrow at Rio Grande.

Congrats to the Burg on the victory.
I know Waverly has some players injured and sick, but was the Burg's defense that stiff or was Waverly's offense struggling from the missing players?

Tiger JV squad (without two bigs, Catman & Chapman) come back from 14 down to win at the buzzer. Last Friday it was Jake Henderson hitting the buzzer beater in OT, last night it was brother Joe Henderson taking it the length of the court in 7 seconds to hit the game winner at the buzzer. It was amazing, after the timeout and walking onto the floor Joe tells Coach Szoke, "I got this". Man did he ever! Is was BEAUtiful #1.
