Week number UNO is in the books EVERYONE has opened the 2012-13 campaign with some teams having knocked off 4 games for the season ... let's look at how the Pfloyd "preseason" Elite 8 fared in the week that was "Week #1" :

Fairfield Union ... need a result for game vs Licking Heights

... thanks Frog! ... the committee of one - me - has been gathering stats, scores, records, reading newspaper articles, SEOPs accounts ALL day long ... finally have a "preliminary" listing of all 3 rankings - the Elite 8, Treehugger Wannabes, End Table Teams ... based on teams played, scores some teams made great leaps up the lists while others at the top dropped but maybe not as far as "some" followers would like ... early polls are difficult to do and get the most flak - BUT the committee of one - me - is used to the abuse LOL ...

... Everything is on "Napkins" right now - I will work to get the 1st "official" rankings of the new season up by "high noon" Monday ... I believe there is only one game being played Monday night - Logan travels to Lancaster in the battle of LHS's ... will be listening to our friends on SAM FM again - trying to get my strength up to go to Friday's Logan game at Jym's Gym as the Purple host Gallia Academy for 3 games ... Logan 2nd SEOAL contest ...

THE "official" Week #1 Elite 8 rankings are in ... the committee of one - me - worked late into the night comparing records, looking at opponents, game scores - even pulled out the Ouija Board in 2 or 3 cases ... as is always the case teams made BIG moves up/down compared to the Pre-season rankings which is expected , for some fans the jumps may or may not have been enough BUT as usual ALL teams that deserve to be in the Elite 8 will get to the promised land as the season progresses ...

Big game in the TVC Tuesday ... Fed Hock at Belpre ... I always enjoy trips to the Eagles Nest - very tough place to win for the visiting team.

... my Purple dropped a road game vs OCC Lancaster tonight 54-68 ... Chiefs battled from a 16 point deficit in the 3rd down to 4 points before a 4 possession stretch of TO's & fouls broke the momentum ... Logan was missing starting 2 guard Gavin Jourdan with the flu ... Chiefs picked up the "L" but didn't "give it up" to the Gales ... Logan cut their TOs down to 14 vs 25 against Chillicothe last Friday ... STILL have to take care of the ball - EVERY possession being valuable like gold whether its early or late in the game ... lots of learning tonight for the Chiefs ... game number 3 Friday in the home opener vs Gallia Academy - SEOAL matchup #2 ... pfloyd will try his best to be in the stands for this one to support the boyz in Purple ...

ps : for Jottings JV's picked up the "W" for Logan 55-42 over the Golden Gales ...
