Good showing by the Pirates this evening at the 7v7. IMHO the Pirates have really good speed, they seem to be able to find the ball and they have great hands. 2013 season looks promising.

I agree. We seemed to catch everything. We have really good hands! The coaches rotated many players. Its a nice problem to have for the coaches but finding the right players in the right position will be challenging. The seperation will start when they put on the pads! It's going to be a good year!

I saw a little bit of practice yesterday and it looks like there are about 60 kids out this year. Its good to see the numbers up a little. Hopefully not nearly as many kids will have to play both ways, which will keep the offense fresh for the hurry up.

i watched practice today. thought they looked good as far as flying around on the field. a lot of communication was going on between players. i also noticed they have added some wrinkles. i feel that wheelersburg, over the last 7 or 8 years, have always adjusted to their talent and are always looking to be creative with their scheme of things. not the best talent the last couple of seasons but still very competitive

That would be interesting since the OHSAA says the first day of coaching is Aug. 5th.

That is if you start school after August 15th. If you start before August 15th coaching began on August 1st.

Yes the orange and black scrimmage is Sat. Aug 10th @ 9:30-11:30 am. They scrimmage Chillicothe @ chillicothe on Aug. 17th @ 10:00am. The scrimmage Columbus Bishop ready on Friday Aug. 23rd @ Home @ 6:00pm. There is talk that the chillicothe game could be played at the burg due to chillicothe field not being done.
