How about you just cheer for your SEOAL brother - and I'll pull for the TVC ... and whoever wins can come back on here and brag a little.
Please read better.....I was trying to jab at Athens homering Warren but you missed it completely.

As for TVC/SEOAL....I don't really care and will not brag on that, but will brag that I was right and you were wrong given the chance.

With that being such a rare occurrence ... I completely understand your desire for Warren to win now ...

- Athens by 11 since they're at home?

Look, we took you guys for a ride ONE TIME ... and it was on the football field not the hardwood - AND it was clear back in 1990!!! Surely you folks in Jackson are over that by now?!?!? ..... LOL

Like the Eastern (Beaver) win over Piketon . Floyd where's the love for the D-4 teams Notre Dame and Webster are really playing good ball. South Websters only loss on the road to and undefeated Oak Hill squad and Notre Dames only loss on the raid to a good Minford team. They have to be knocking on the top 8 door.

lightle04 ... the committee of one - me - IS keeping a close eye on all 3 of these fine squads - Notre Dame (7-1), South Webster (5-1), Eastern Pike (6-2)... all three teams have steadily moved up the rankings :

Notre Dame #11 (Wk 4), #14 (Wk 3), #19, #22
South Webster #12 (Wk 4), #19 (Wk 3), #15, #27
Eastern Pike #17 (Wk 4), #25 (Wk 3), #21, #21

... these are their rankings vs ALL 71 divisional teams Below the Lancaster-Dixon Line ... we have completed the 2012 portion of the 2012-13 hoops campaign ... as you will see - which IS ALWAYS the case EVERY season - teams play their way into the rankings they deserve - the closer teams get to the rarified air of the Elite 8 the harder it gets to move up and sometimes a "catastrophe" must happen to be bumped "down" ... you have to remember that my Ouija Board is "darn" old !!! ...

I've never had any problem with Athens. Jackson doesn't like Wellston or Gallipolis. Athens? They have good sporting programs right now throughout the seasons....but are pretty much another team on most of our schedules.

But bulldog does stink. FWIW lol

Not from either but I saw something a few years back that would keep me a little honked off at Athens. It was a sectional game at Alexander and Jackson was playing Athens. Jackson had a young point guard who shot an airball early in the game and in good spirit the Athens student section gave her the airball chant and then a few more times as she got more touches. All fine and good, everyone good student section does that stuff. As the boring game went on (it ended something like 32-21) the students continued on this young athlete every time she touched the ball, every dribble, shot and free throw. The game was long removed from that moment and the student section wasn't even cheering for their team but heckling this player. What was so shocking was they were being led by an adult male??? By looks he was likely a teacher or someone supervising this group of students. I've scouted and watched games all over the district and have never witnessed an adult leading juvenile cheers and encouraging the student section like that.

I've never seen an adult mixed in with a student section at Athens.

But I have seen kids be jerks all over the sports landscape ... I just witnessed an obnoxious student section for Parkersburg South Saturday night in Marietta.

There is always one bad apple (or apples) that give schools a bad name.

(i.e.) That purple hippo guy at Logan Games - I'm surprised they don't boot him from the stands more often.

Lol.....I was at that barn-burner. I think it was an almighty sectional quarter-final game. Jackson won by about 10. RedSolo is right about an adult being in the student section and he seemed to be encouraging/supervising them. It was a little over-the-top but that guy moved on to purpler ground. I don't know if he is a teacher or administrator but he's around. As for that "young" point guard she was pretty ticked at it but she's tough as nails and now playing D1 softball for Marshall University.

That doesn't make me want to beat Athens more....can't imagine anyone else at that game really cares that much. I think that was in 2008.
