Wellston is one of those teams thats hard to figure out. They lost games that they should have dominated, yet they beat Athens at Athens......go figure.
Rockets definitly have athletic ability and plenty of horsepower.....they handled NY better than the Vikings did, but their defense is far more suspect than VCs.
Gotta say the favorite is Vinton County by 7 in a lower than normal scoring game for the Vikes.
First team to 40 will win this one. Could also see 3 to 5 players fouling out in this one.

Wellstons little guard ithink his name is Dunn has to play well and handle Vintons pressure if he can and Ousley will play like he's 6'6 and dominate the paint it could be a good game with that being said I got Vinton County 65-58.

I don't think it is about if wellston can handle the pressure. It's more about if they are gonna pound the ball inside when they break the pressure. That is when they are at their best offensively yet not very often do they look to do it. Also the rockets must play better defense. They are the highest scoring team in the league (average wise) yet they are the worst defensively. This shouldn't be the case since they have quick guards and a 6'6 shot blocker to help protect the rim and a big four man to rebound, and probably the best rebounding and most physical three man in the league in Smith. However it seems that many times the rockets are too content on defense, don't put forth the effort, and don't talk enough defensively. If the rockets come out like it is an important game and play HARD :!: and TOGETHER :!: on both sides of the ball they can win this game. GOOD LUCK ROCKETS

The Vikes play some real nasty defense. Ask Piketon. And Piketon has three guys at least 6'4". Foul trouble will hurt the Vikes. That and free throws. If we shoot well and stay out of foul trouble I think we are ok. Vikes by 12. If not I think Vikes by 3.

IMO, Foul trouble will hurt both teams in this one.

Lets hope the Refs control the game but at the same time lets the kids play. That way we dont have the foul trouble and we get to watch a real exciting game.

Hopefully, if the games at wellston so far this year give any indication, then the refs will probably be bad. One minute letting them play and then calling a foul if you look at a kid wrong. It's not fair to either team when the refs are bad. Especially at wellston, they always call it bad both ways and almost take the game out of the kids hands

Depends on which Rockets team shows up? If the team that beat Athens shows up, Rockets by 10. IF not, Vikings by 10
