Re: Meigs D-4 sectional.
If I'm Symmes Valley's coach I'm trying to drop to the #3 seed to avoid South Webster who's going to be the #3 at Valley.

Re: Meigs D-4 sectional.
I think it would be crazy for East to even try to get 2 seed.. If they do they will have to go through Beaver Eastern in district instead of Notre Dame. Eastern is better than notre dame. They should want 3 seed cause of this. There is an argument of why swebster should be 2. I just dont think sv can avoid getting 2 seed. They have 3 less losses than anyone and same amount of wins. East will have same record as sw with a weaker schedule. Thwy need to get 3 seed.lightle04 wrote:If I'm Symmes Valley's coach I'm trying to drop to the #3 seed to avoid South Webster who's going to be the #3 at Valley.

Re: Meigs D-4 sectional.
Also, by east getting 3 seed that would get soc 1 a real good chance of having 2 teams in the regional with notre dame, east and sv on one side and beaver on the other. This makes better sensr.Symmesvalley2013 wrote:I think it would be crazy for East to even try to get 2 seed.. If they do they will have to go through Beaver Eastern in district instead of Notre Dame. Re: Meigs D-4 sectional.
Lol yeah makes better since for symmes valley cause they would rather play east than south Webster due to matchups. In reality if the coaches of the tvc align themselves for their best options they would push southern to the two and help symmes to the three. East may garnish enough votes to steal the two if that's the case symmes would want the three to avoid SW. Either way u gotta win games in the long run. Southern will have more losses but double digit wins so they have an argument boy a good one but for the tvc sake that would b their best option plus if east gets the two IF they get it that helps out symmes to get the three and the east matchup they want at the convo. S metimes it comes down to politics in the end when its close in who could b ne where like these two sectionals. Should b fun for the coaches after Saturdays games figuring out how its going to play out on Sunday. Great thing about basketball over football everyone gets a chance!

Re: Meigs D-4 sectional.
I wouldn't try to move down to the #3 if I was Symmes Valley. There is too much risk in trying to guess what will happen in the Valley Sectional. East and SW is a toss up for the #2 so trying to move down to avoid SW may not work.
Ultimately I think it is Eastern at 1 and SV at 2. Southern and Trimble at 3 & 4 in some order. The other 5 will be down to the final day to see how many wins each team ends up with.

Re: Meigs D-4 sectional.
I hear ya, but symmes Valley will end with the 2nd best record at the end of the week with more quality wins. Like i said before Southern and trimble are always tough but neither team has a victory over a team with an above. 500 record. Symmes Valley has a couple wins over #1-3 seeds in the tournament. Just a thought.Judge and Jury wrote:Lol yeah makes better since for symmes valley cause they would rather play east than south Webster due to matchups. Re: Meigs D-4 sectional.
It is going to be very interesting this week. Some huge games with sectional implications.
# 3- Southern- @ Alexander Tuesday, vs Nelsonville York Saturday
# 4- Trimble- @ Wahama Tuesday, vs Waterford Friday
# 5- Miller- Vs Southern Tuesday, vs Wahama Friday
# 6- Eastern- @ Waterford Tuesday, vs. Belpre Friday, @ South Gallia Saturday
#7- ISJ
#8- South Gallia- @ Belpre Tuesday, vs. Federal Hocking Friday, vs Eastern Saturday
#9- Waterford- vs Eastern Tuesday, @ Trimble Friday
I think if Eastern can win 2/3 this week and combine that with a Miller loss, I think Eastern can get as high as #5.
7,8,9 are stil up in the air with a win or 2 by those teams. gonna be interesting on Sunday.

Re: Meigs D-4 sectional.
To put into perspective how crazy this draw will be ...
Miller - 64
Trimble - 75
Miller - 63
Trimble - 40
Miller - 78
Eastern - 42
Miller - 54
Eastern - 69
* How the heck are you suppose to judge that?

If Southern picks up a couple wins this week I think they will get the 2 seed

If you lose to teams like Green you can't expect teams in TVC to respect you. I'm calling it TVC team will upset SV.

Has everyone forgotten that SV beat Notre Dame? One bad loss away from home can't undo a huge win against a likely #1 seed.

Very bad timing on the loss though, gives tvc coaches a lot more ammo to drop them from a #2 come Sunday.
Re: Meigs D-4 sectional.
I agree cause some of the smaller TVC teams are plying much better down the stretch.
