With East looseing now them Webster and White Oak battle for the 2-4 seeds. East still plays Eastern but besides them they should win out as well. Webster and White Oak because of there leagues have some tuff games to play left.

Symmes Valley plays them again....allready beat them once.

I guess they don't play until Feb.15 , so it won't change anything on the tourney draw.

This isn't going to be a popular statement but Fairfield is the second best team in this sectional.

lightle: agreed about Fairfield...they are a team I wouldn't want anything to do with early. Your Eagles are going to have a tough District-Semi game against either Fairfield, Webster or Whiteoak. That game will likely be tougher than the District Championship.

ND locked up the #1 spot last night and will unlikely lose again. Great year for the Titans.

East still has Beaver Eastern and Symmes Valley left, but if they win one of those, probably has the #2 seed locked up.

Webster (10-5) has games @ Valley, @ Minford and @ Clay remaining, and home games left with Burg, Waverly and West. I could see two losses in there which would put them at 14-7 on the year.

Don't know who Fairfield (7-7)and Whiteoak (8-6) have left on their schedules (anyone have SHL schedules?), but they can't afford many more losses if either wants to jump Webster for the #3 spot.

Bottom of this sectional is lousy, but top is as strong as I can remember.*

Not sure I understand the love for East. They've lost 3 of 4 with only a 4 point victory over Ironton St. Joe to keep them from losing 4 straight. Best wins are Symmes Valley early in the season (recently avenged by SV beating them at home by 9) and the 5 point home win over Webster. Keep in mind the glaring 30+ loss to SW on a neutral floor. I can't see them seeded higher the SW.

I agree with you but teams are seeded by wins and losses not who they play and if it was close or not . Wins and losses period ! If there record at the time of seeding is better than Websters even if Webster has played 3x the harder schedual and they have . Because of them playing a week schedual they will get the higher seed.

So, by your logic Tartan Territory is worth about 35 points? East played poorly against SW and got waxed. I'm watching Miami mop up Duke by 30 now.... Sometimes good teams get smacked. The 2nd time around they played better and SW played poorly at the start.

The coaches vote, and it is often political. Regardless, the best teams usually make it out. Lightle, the coaches aren't morons, it's not simply # of wins. If SW keeps up what they're doing they'll have a case for #2, and even #1 actually. Doesn't mean they'll get either. If East defeats Eastern, they make a solid argument for #2. The game has an odd way of working itself out. 1-5, in this sectional are all solid.

Schedule, and point differential can only gauge so much. Matchups, personnel, and playing style are far more indicative of potential outcomes. Butler has done quite well the last few seasons at the college level playing a weak league schedule and eeking out wins against "bad" teams.

SHL teams will rarely get a fair much less favorable voting at the drawing. Whiteoak and Fairfield typically play tougher schedules than a lot of teams in the sectional and the other coaches know this so they put them where they need to be to knock one another off. I believe there are 7 soc teams and 3 shl teams in the voting, enough said.

Your right but they treat Webster the same as The SHL teams usually. I'd say Webster gets the #3 Fairfield and White Oak the 4-5 and Mancchester the 6 that way they all play each other ! SOC sports fan I know the coaches are not idiots that's why they make the 3 SHL teamed and Webster all play each other to insure our league advances!!

White Oak and Fairfield are to very dangerous teams !! Playing in the SHL really prepares them for tourney success. Manchester is going to get a 8-10 seed and it wouldn't surprise me if they win there first game and take whoever there second one they play possibly East to the wire. Those guys play stiff competition every night in there league.

Manchester is not the team they have been the past 5 years...but yes, a pretty good schedule will make them a tougher out than their record.

Here is my pick
1. Notre Dame
2. Webster
3. East
4. White Oak
5. Fairfield
6. Green
7. Clay
8. Manchester
9. Western
10. New Boston

South Webster is definitely better than East. Strength of schedulee has to play a factor in this decision. EAST would have a losing record if they played webster schedule. I love the East team and tghey are coached very well but its better for them to be the 3 seed.

East snuck past Whiteoak for the much easier #6 seed last year....Whiteoak has some tough games left but no matter what they simply will not pass East.....hopefully Whiteoak can beat Fairfield in the rubber match......it's gonna give Eastern Pike a better challenge in the district semis.

Would love everyone in one big sectional....even if they only went be record it would be more fair than it is now.

1.Eastern Pike
2. Notre Dame
3. South Webster
4. East
5. Symmes Valley
6. Whiteoak
7. Fairfield
8. Trimble
