Scioto top to bottom has the best football. They consistently get 2-4 teams in the playoffs, and they have the best program south of Columbus and east of Cincinnati. Not to mention Valley's multiple playoff wins in recent memory. It always seems like either West and Minford sneaks in as well. East also had a 10-0 last year and Notre Dame makes a push for the playoffs every few years.

Head to head - Scioto has owned Lawrence, Pike, and Jackson. They don't have too many games against teams in counties other than those. With Burg leading the charge and others adding depth, Scioto County is home to the best football in this part of the state.

Burg is fifth on the list with most playoff appearances yes NY had best then in the past a few times but NY just is not a tradition playoff contender how far back do we want to go for comparison scioto county has had 3 State champions

Some county's have more school districts, some countys only have a single school district.....

Heck, does Vinton County have more than one school with a football team? Do they have more than one high school?? Lol. Pike County only has three schools with high school football and one of those just recently. I hear Western might be on the road to high school football.

NY and BURG have 1 title a piece burg has appeared in the playoff 28 time Trimble and NY combine equal 28 is this even a discussion on which county is better the plains-athens doesn't even deserve to be in the conversation I will give Trimble is an excellent team way more talented then our SOC I schools that make playoffs like east and nd who always get their asskicked in the playoffs

i believe there is 13 high schools in scioto county. of those i don't know who does and doesn't have football. vinton, logan and morgan are the only 1 county high schools in the state.

But yeah Ironton is all time best. They ran into the best of the best. That Lake Catholic team in the early 90's was the best team in Ohio any division
