I had a 76 Grand Prix, Firethorn Red, with the "small" engine - I think a 350 v8. Yeah, if you were concerned about gas mileage, a GP wasn't the car for you

Didn't have much money then. I had other bill's also besides the car payment. kinda of hard Bolt when i had to buy most of the cool-aid for almost everybody and no one pitched in for gas on those long road trips we took. Big difference in gas prices today. Couldn't imagine keeping gas in it doing what we did back then. You remember, couple bucks from SC isn't even a half gallon today. I was lucky to get that sometimes. Everyone wanted to ride around for free it seemed like.

It wasn't real bad if i kept my foot out of it. I liked the power it had, sounded good too with dual glass pack mufflers i had on it. But i would't want that car today with these gas prices. I had a 1992 5.0 lx mustang too. Wasn't to bad either but today they would break ya driving them everyday a long way. The two best cars i've had for gas milage with some sporty performance was a 1989 Z-24 and a 1989 Dodge Daytona. Still have the Daytona in the garage. Never drive it. Has low miles and still like new. :) We just drive our cutluss supreme now. It seems to be pretty good on gas for a v6.

Junior and senior year of high school I drove a 68 Chevy Impala. Was my dads. First I bought, in 84, was a 78 Cutlass.
