Re: WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE WAR MOVIE?
Patton is one of my favorite movies. In college we watch Full Metal Jacket probably once a week. I also love The Longest Day. Last year me and my dad went and saw it on the big screen at the Paramont that was pretty cool. Gettysburg is another one of my favorite war movies. Ok so I might have a few favs and of course every time its on I watch Heartbreak Ridge. Like Space said Band of Brothers was awesome. Overall though Patton is my favorite.

Patton. That movie is so old I'm surprised it gets as many votes as it does on here.
Re: WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE WAR MOVIE?
Platoon.....Also without a doubt, it the best sounding war movie with surround sound. Haven't heard any other war movie sound so real.

No doubt -- Patton. An old film was a classic -- Stalag 17 with William Holden.
Saving Private Ryan was very good too. I also thought highly of "The longest Day" with John Wayne.

Patton and Saving Private Ryan.
My uncle, who took part in the Normandy Invasion, said that the Omaha Beach landing in Saving Private Ryan was like re-living it all over again when he saw it.

I have heard a few people say that is what their relative said. Some wives where have suppose to have said their husband got up and left during the show.Mister B wrote:Patton and Saving Private Ryan.

Re: WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE WAR MOVIE?
The opening scene when he returns to Normandy years later to the grave of the character Tom Hanks played to thank him had me sobbing. I've only seen the film once to this day.noreply66 wrote:I have heard a few people say that is what their relative said.
