70% of their wins have come against teams with losing records. Not very impressive.

True, Huntington is only 1-3 against the Top 10 in Class AAA West Virginia. But that one win came against George Washington, a perennial WV power who easily dispatched Columbus Centennial ealier in the year. The Highlanders are 10-3, ranked #8 in this weeks AP Class AAA poll in WV, and have good size and athleticism. They will be facing the Tigers in Huntington in front of their fans, and playing with their officials. After losses to Ironton in each of the last two years, Huntington would like nothing more to pin a loss on streaking Ironton and salvage some of that river "pride." Plus, I am sure that Coach Hess and Coach Hopkins (former Ironton Assistant Coach) have gotten the Highlanders' full attention after the throttling they took last week at home by #1-ranked South Charleston. Coach Hoppy knows the Ironton kids very well, and will have Huntington well-prepared for tonight's matchup.

A margin of 15+ seems a bit of a stretch to me, Pink.
While it's tough to get a good read on Buchtel and its opposition, at least some people think they are pretty good. MaxPreps has Buchtel at #8 in Ohio D-II, Ironton #7 in D-III. JJ Huddle has Buchtel #11 in D-II, Ironton #6 in D-III. CalPreps predicts Ironton to win, but by only 66-63.The Akron-Canton area has historically produced a lot of good basketball in the likes of Akron Central-Hower, Akron SVSM (Lebron!), Barberton, Canton McKinley, and others. As recently as 2010, Buchtel finished the regular season 19-1, ranked #1 in the final AP Poll, and boasting a win over legendary Dayton Dunbar. The Griffins have the same coach, and are currently #2 in what they call the City Series for Akron. They have been handling things pretty well on the hardwood for some time.
I look for a very fast-paced, up-and-down the court game on Saturday night. If Ironton does not come out ready to play, the Tigers could quickly find themselves trying to play catch-up to the big city boys from up north.
The last 'Big City Boys' from up north that come down here did not like the action in I-town.
I-town 79. Centennial. 63
Could be the same results

Ironton is hitting their stride right now, Carter and Fletcher are being the Carter and Fletcher we expected and more, but the recent play of Trevor White with 15 & 16 against Centennial, and adding 15 against Akron Butchel the scoring load is a little more spread and off not entirely on Zac and Trey. Which as an Ironton fan seeing these three play like this together there are few teams out there I dont see us beating, home or away. As for tonight, I dont see Zac having a Dennis like game dropping 39 and shocking the state of WVA. I say that becasue I dont think he will have to. I like Ironton 6-9 points. Hate that I cant make this one, but if any of the big 3 getting going early watch out.

Zac is capable of 35+ every night. He's the best scoring guard I have seen in our local area.
I agree with most of what you said. It has been awesome seeing Trevor White playing the way he's been playing.

Agree with everything as well. can't stop this said it better than I could. Just don't want the team to get complacent and peak too soon.

WHAT AN INCREDIBLE YEAR FIGHTING TIGERS, DON'T GET COMPLACENT, AND PLAY EVERY GAME LIKE IT'S THE MOST IMPORTANT OF THE YEAR. BECAUSE THE MOST IMPORTANT GAME RIGHT NOW , IS WHOEVER'S NEXT ON THE SCHEDULE.
