Re: Southeastern DII Sectional
Unioto lost to Adena, we all get that . Unioto and Chillicothe were pretty even in a scrimmage earlier this year, but I think both teams are much different now, but still are pretty even talent wise. Obviously, Johnson is above anything Unioto has, but I think Chillicothe could struggle with a motivated (and well rested) Detilion on the inside. The loss of Hosley hurts Unioto's depth, as he has been playing great perimeter defense as of late. I'm not sure we'll see this matchup, but it would be an electric atmosphere and I think would be a very good ballgame.Been B&B wrote:I agree... Chilli is probably as good as Unioto who lost to Adena. I would love to see that matchup again(Chilli-Unioto) I think Chilli is the best team with a losing record in the sectional right now. They just handled Court House by 20 and WCH should be at least a three seed. I could see Chilli at a five right now. (Waverly also beat WCH by 1 or two the first game of the year.) Chilli's playing a whole lot better right now.
Unioto lost to WCH and McClain in this sectional, but if they could beat MT on Saturday, I think it could give them a slight edge on them, as they would come in with the same record.
Waverly should get 2 wins this weekend, which would bump them to 8 wins, which will be more than Circleville and Chillicothe likely have (they play LE and Warren respectively) and could see them sneak to the 5 seed. Their win over WCH looms large for that. If Burroughs is back for Circleville, that makes them a much more difficult matchup and much better than they have been.
My seeding, as of right now:
1- Miami Trace
2- Fairland
3- WCH
4- Unioto
5- Chillicothe
6- Circleville
7- McClain
8- Waverly
9- Hillsboro
10- Jackson
Obviously, a lot can happen between tonight and Sunday's draw. If Unioto beats MT, I think Fairland has to be the 1 seed. They will have far less losses than everyone else, even if they play in a horrid league. If McClain can beat WCH, that could shake things up greatly as well. If Hillsboro beats Madison Plains and Circleville loses to LE, don't be surprised to see them drop into the 7-10 range. A lot of "ifs" going into this last weekend before the draw...can we just get a super sectional already?!

I don't see chilli or anyone in scol wanting to play Unioto in the 4/5 game. If you win you get warren in the district.

Not sure how mcclain would be seeded ahead of hillsboro who beat them twice and once badly. I also don't see waverly falling to an 8 with 8 wins. It will be very interesting come Sunday afternoon.

That was my as of now, with McClain with more wins then Waverly and Hillsboro. Obviously a lot will change this weekend.

Danicalifornia.... I think you have it pretty close.. I have seen all the teams except Fairland. To me it doesn't matter how Chilli does against Warren tonight.. Nobody else it the sectional would beat Warren right now.. I still think Chilli is the best team with a losing record and they deserve a 5 seed. WE'LL SEE!!

Hillsboro takes care of business tonight beating a good Madison Plains team 48-41.

Dani... Don't see Fairland ahead of Miami Trace... I saw Fairland twice last year and I think they only have the two little guards back... Also strength of schedule makes a little difference... Also Chilli may be a little low... They lost big to Warren but Warren's going to be Number One in the other side.. It is fun to speculate though...

Re: Southeastern DII Sectional
I was just listing in order of current record. Very unlikely for that to happen. Fairland's only game two games against relevant teams for us in the Chillicothe area were a 30 pt loss to Piketon and a 10 pt loss to Athens, but if MT loses tonight, that puts them 3 games up in the loss column on everyone else. That's the biggest reason I think they can get on the 1 line. And no way Chillicothe will be that low, IMO. 6th or possibly 7th would be the lowest that I would see them falling.Been B&B wrote:Dani... Don't see Fairland ahead of Miami Trace... I'll post my full guess later on tonight after the Unioto @ MT game, a MT win locks up my #1 for them.
Re: Southeastern DII Sectional
Dani... I saw the MT-Unioto game tonight and MT beat them rather handily. I could tell Unioto was missing something... perhaps the kid who got injured... Plus I didn't think Arledge shot as well as he is capable of.. Unioto played hard.. I don't really know how it is going to shake out... I do think Chilli is better than people give them credit for..I don't have a dog in the fight but it is going to be interesting how it comes out... I don't know if there is a positively right seeding that will not be debated... I LOVE IT THOUGH!!!

Unioto came out flat after a big emotional win last night, but the loss of Hosley did seem bigger tonight. MT is a talented bunch.Been B&B wrote:Dani... I think Chillicothe is either the 5 or 6 and will push whoever they get matched up with. Should be an interesting room tomorrow!
