Paladin Thread
Re: Paladin Thread
Personally, I agree with Paladin's statement and when he said this the first group that came to my mind was the Westboro Baptist Church.kantuckyII wrote:Still waiting on an example of what you're talking about here? To make such a statement and not back it up?..,,it's just morally wrong. How many times I've seen you make some post and people called you out repeatedly on it and you just ignored themby Paladin » Wed Jan 30, 2013 8:42 am
We have our own "Brotherhood" problem here in the U.S. The religious nutjob here cloud over reality and dim our outlook. Too much of our govt is influnced by the extremist here. The nutjobs in the Middle East have nothing over the nutjobs right here at home.
I also feel that one of the strongest lobbies in Washington is the Jewish Defense League. Also couple this with the Israel Lobby and other far right wing lobbiests for Israel, Washington becomes crippled at times with these groups and at times we cower from them.
While I agree the Jews are "God's Chosen People", they are the ones who crucified Christ by choosing Barabbas (Matthew 16) over Jesus. And yes, I agree that they, Israel should have their own "home state", (as should Palestine), but giving aid to Israel carte blanche isn't right when several of their main lobbies in DC have been identified as terrorist groups by the FBI.
Just my honest opinion

I cringe when Westboro gets lumped in or described as "christian" ugggg . Every true christian church in america strongly condems the action of that group of lunatics.

Re: Paladin Thread
Protesting at a military funeral could prompt a reaction that would not be very pleasant but only a lunatic would even attempt it.......rumor was they were going to be in Coal Grove last year for Sgt Justin Allen's funeral and the fellas on the choppers were ready.......I can think of another word other than lunatics for WBC but it would cost me 30 days in Matt's jail cell..........ManitouDan wrote:I cringe when Westboro gets lumped in or described as "christian" ugggg . Westbrook does NOT reflect the Word of God. There's like what, a dozen people? Even they aren't strapping bombs to their bodies. They even boycotted a church I was attending once about 12 years ago
Re: Paladin Thread
I agree. However, they are recognized as a legitimate church by all sectors of our government, federal, state and local.kantuckyII wrote:Westbrook does NOT reflect the Word of God. They give fuel to those that dislike Christians and Christians beliefs thru their insane take on God's word.
This group is a prime example, even though they haven't yet resorted to strapping bombs to their bodies, of what a hate group is and with being a religious and far, far right leaning group, they come to my mind as a nut job group.

I vote as I vote for many reasons; this is not my primary issue in deciding. If that bothers you, that is a YOU problem. Vote as you wish.Kentucky Trojan wrote:...but, you support those who support abortion...dazed&confused wrote:OK, just like Greenpeace doesn't represent my views.kantuckyII wrote:Westbrook does NOT reflect the Word of God. You do not bother me.
I weep over the state of this world due to the hate that exists for innocent unborn children.
