And I believe the coach will keep this team grounded so it won't happen.
This team has grown not only over the years together but this whole season and Lafon has shown he will not let one player destroy what this teams goal is with a boneheaded play or arrogance.
That is what makes this team so special the chemistry and respect they have for each other and the coach and other teams.

Seriously, this. Trevor White has the ability to be a star on most teams in the SE district and he's the 3rd option for the Tigers, but still gives amazing energy and effort. Love his game and that's not even mentioning Carter and Fletcher! Something miraculous will have to happen for them to fall to a SE team, IMO.

I Agree Ironton has played a schedule this year just for this.
But they do have a long road to win it all and I believe they have the team the chemistry and the coach to do just that.

The farther you go the tougher it gets.you will run into a team with the same talent, heart etc etc, it all comes down to getting that loose ball, blocking out and rebounding the basketball. oh yeah dont forget, it takes a little luck as well good luck

Eastern was struck by two things tonight, an unfortunate injury to one of the top players in the region and Oak Hill going 7-7 on 3s in the first half.

Piketon moves on despite not waking up until the 4th quarter for the 2nd straight game, that's going to have to change to beat the Oaks. Great tournament run by the Ceramics though, fun team to watch.

Ironton is really, really good. It's going to take a monster effort to beat them. I thought ZT did a good job of representing themselves, but the Tigers were far too much.

3 great coaches from the SE trying to make it back to their 2nd Final Four, but I think we'll see Coach Lafon and the Ironton Tigers defeat Piketon in the regional finals next weekend when it's all said and done.

I agree Ironton is going to be tough to beat these kids seem to be focused and having fun doing it.
That being said Piketon Oak Hill and Martins Ferry still waiting to beat the Tigers.
Wish I was there to see it all this seems to be a very special year for Ironton and this group of young men go Tigers.
