This will be a great Sectional Final. Size vs Speed.
If Fort gets the lead early it will be very hard for Ferry to catch up. This will feature the two top D 3 players in the district. District POY Smith vs Ferry's swing man.
I'll have to make the trip for this one!

Ferry has a huge team 6-5 Strama, 6-8 Rob Vargo, and 6-3 Cody Schau. Cody Schau is scoring about 24 ppg. They don't really have much guard play and could struggle to get the ball up the court. Last yr Schau was held to 8 points by Chandler Lang. Lang and Smith got to push the tempo and let Legrean beat Ferry bigs down the floor for easy buckets.FF knocked out Ferry last season 42-39 and I hear Ferrys coach holds grudges. Could be 2 of the top 3 teams in the district battling at sectionals.

This is a tough sectional final. I think FF would rather play Trail, MC, or Doah

I think Chandler shuts down Schau again. The game with come down to can FF score on the break and make 3s over that zone.Ferry will get there's inside with Strama and Vargo.

Between Caden and Seth, they will probably try some different looks until they get what they need.

This game has district POY Shon Smith (21ppg) vs Runner up Schau (27 ppg). FF has 3 players with district honors - Smith 1st team, Lang (10.4) 2nd team, Legrean (14.4) 3rd team. They need to play fast the higher the score the better chance the Cadets have.

When we talked over the sectional a few weeks ago, we agreed it was pretty much a toss up 1-5, and this one came down to a contested layup at the buzzer. Sometimes we know what we're talking about.

Everyone is giving EasternD a hard time but I don't see why. Defends his team, win or loss. Great fan. Want to say congrats to Shon Smith and the seniors on a great career. Another great FF class. Shon had a great career, hope to see him playing some college ball somewhere!

Martins Ferry is a good team no excuses they were bigger and it was a tough matchup.

I would've pulled for Fort Frye in this one just because it's in the PVC, but Ferry has some big, physical kids in the paint. Schau is tough. Losing by a point in the tournament kina sticks with ya. Wish Liedtke had won another one. Has to be a satisfying win for Sabatino as a coach at MFHS.
