This will be a very interesting match up.
Why is Central so unpredictable? They beat Trail and then lose the next week. They lose to River and then beat River a few days later.
Central's Jorris is a great shooter and Lafferre can get to the paint and make things happen.
The key is to keep them off the boards on the long rebounds and to dictate pace by handling their pressure.
Easier said than done.
It will be interesting to see how West prepares for this team. Central doesn't really need to make adjustments because they play the same system type of games each game. Should be fun!

Central has been a roller coaster of late. They are very athletic. WM has a couple big guns in # 23 and the Post kid but do they have the guards that can handle the press?

I think I'll go to Jackson and watch Burg vs Ironton and Peake vs Minford

Last nights game was a well played game by both teams. Central hit 9 of 17 from behind the arc. That was the difference.
By the way Philos_Finest..... Looks like West represented the MVL much better than your Electrics in their respective tournament games.
Anyways, congrats Monroe and good luck in the tournament. Your kids played hard and were respectful. Class act.

Both teams played well. Central hit some big shots at big times to pull out the win. Easily could have gone the other way. Philo....Central was a top end P.V.C. team this year, you lost to Claymont who struggled to beat lower tier P.V.C. Caldwell at the end of January. Caldwell actually led that game late and was in it to the finish when they had to foul. Not so impressive for the Electrics.

I don't know why you're making this a Philo-Claymont thread, I'm not the one that said anything about that. Someone got butt hurt because I said a 3 seed should beat a 6 seed. I guess I didn't realize it was wrong of me to say the PVC champs should beat the 8th place MVL team. And just to clear some things up about Claymont. Yea, they did struggle with Caldwell but you know what? They did beat Philo twice, they beat Maysville & lost to Zanesville by 2 points. So, let's not pretend they just sucked.

Claymont also beat Dover in reg season. I watched the Stangs lose last night and they are really talented.
