Serious question Warriorfrosh. Has Warren ever won a district title?

If we played 'em ten times, they might win nine. But not this game. Not tonight. Tonight, we run with 'em. Tonight, we stay with 'em, and we shut them down because we can! Tonight, we are the greatest basketball team in the southeast district. You were born to be basketball players -- every one of ya. And you were meant to be here tonight. This is your time. Their time -- is done. It's over. I'm sick and tired of hearin' about what a great basketball team the Warriors have. Screw 'em! This is your time!! Now go out there and take it!!
Warren doesn't have a great basketball team.....Warren has the BEST basketball team.

VC has a record of 1-1 in district title games. I thought I heard somewhere that Warren hasn't won one. How many district final appearances do the Warriors have?

According to The Marietta Times, Warren has been to the District tournament 14 times and to the District Championship game 4 times (1998, 2001, 2010, 2011). They have never won a District title.

The way I see it, a barking dog barks louder as it becomes more frightened. Are you Vinton fans worried?

If both teams play the best game that they can play, Warren wins by double digits. To much size and strength for VC to handle. If Warren struggles from the perimeter, and cant knock down the 3 ball, it will be a close game.

Dundas,

If the Redsox can " reverse the curse" why cant we? Besides, this team hasnt tried for a District Championsip. Tonites their first try. None the less, it doesnt matter how many points are made basketball is played on a court with a ball and ten guys. Not on a website.

Both of these teams have talent. Both have depth. Both are well coached. Either one of these teams could blow the other away on any given night. Either could come back from behind on the other on any given night. Strength of schedule argument doesnt apply to either of these teams this season. Just by win/loss record, the favorite would have to go to Warren....but they aint facing a weak team . This game will come down to who wants it the most....PERIOD! All other smack talk is just that and nothing else.
I will be rooting for my Vikings.....

This game will be aired tape delayed following the Waterford-Newark Catholic girls game.
On WJAW FM 100.9, on air should be about 9:30.....or you could tune at 8:00 and catch the girls game.
