Three keys to this victory, Holding Jenny Grigsby to two points in second half, Balanced scoring by the Cadets with four girls in double figures, and lock down defense.

The final score is somewhat deceiving because this was an intense and close game all the way until midway through the 4th quarter. As an SVC supporter, I was cheering for the Lady Warriors, but I do think the better team won the game. Fort Frye plays great defense and have more scorers than Adena. Adena has a nice team but not enough star power outside of Grigsby and Cooper. Jenny Grigsby finished with 18 points and Natalie Cooper ended with 12. Both teams played very hard!!
Good luck Fort Frye the rest of the way-- I hope you continue a successful run.
Congratulations to Adena on the success they've had this season--it's been fun to watch!

FF went up 5-2, then down 10-5. At half time I thought if they lose the lead again they willlose. First 6 minutes of the 3rd qtr they turned it over at least 6 times and lost the lead. But from then on they were stellar. When they were up 7 in the 4th, I thought they were going to make a common mistake, throw up a trey attempt, but they refrained from that, turning down several outside shots that would have been good shots if the situation were different, ran good time off the clock, and then Combs took it to the basket for a lay-up on their best possession of the game, which was followed with Adena calling a TO, and that was pretty much the game.
