If Caldwell wins 8 games then our league suxs.............redskinwitness wrote:I'm more of a basketball and cross country guy but I enjoy football and go to the Redskin games as often as I can. They were playing really young kids, freshmen and sophomores with a handful of Juniors, last season. I didn't like watching the style of offense they ran last year but it was effective the second half of the season. I know they only won one of the last five games but they lost by a score at Central, Fort won the league and only beat us by a point so there was a lot to look forward to I'd say. I could see them beating Doah, Trail, River, and Frontier in the PVC. West M and Bridgeport are supposed to be terrible so that's six wins right there. They can play with Central and Fort and could knock off one of them. Not sure how Necomerstown is but usually aren't impressive and Barnesville will suck. I'd say seven wins is pretty accurate from the guy above. I could even see them getting to 8 or 9 wins.

8 or 9 wins? I highly doubt that. The only teams I see them being favored against are Shenandoah and Frontier. Don't get me wrong, i'd love to see them do that well, but with this coaching staff, I just don't see it.redskinwitness wrote:I'm more of a basketball and cross country guy but I enjoy football and go to the Redskin games as often as I can. Yea Perkins has proved time after time that he is terrible. Frontier is loaded at skills position with Warren transfer Barnes lining up at Rb/WR. Mitch Reynolds will be QB and he always impressed me. Also Welker and #40 (sorry for forgetting your name) are tough runners. Also Damon Methany is very talented now playing Salazar role. Also return 6-2 TE/WR Dylan Absher. I just don't think they have the guys upfront as the only return one lineman.

Shenandoah didn't look too good today in a scrimmage vs. Beallsville.
Blue Devils won 22-0. Could be long season for Zeps unless they find some 'O'

Only about 21 players for Beallsville.

Bellsville only scored once on shenandoahs varsity. Ya there offense isn't much at all but there defense didn't play as bad as last year. Bellsville has some nice linemen and aren't a bad football team.

Went and watched Caldwell scrimmage with Morgan the other day. Went about as expected, don't think Morgan will be very good this year. Caldwell's offense seemed to look about the same as last years, with a few wrinkles added in. Defense played pretty well too, hit hard and gang tackled well.

I didn't get to make it to the Monroe Central scrimmage but from what I was told the defense looked good. Real good hits, pads cracking and good tackling which is always good to hear. Sounds like Schuerman has them tuned in with 2 weeks to go. MC has another scrimmage vs Weir High coming up. I am not sure of a date or time.

gotta agree..fort is without a doubt going to be a huge threat with lang and if other players show there potential could be best in pvc...if lang don't get help week in and out could be worst..central will be central...Caldwell old scholl football style will wear a defense down ex...fort frye last year...as long as they stay healthy I can see 78 or even 9 wins big if...
