Fort Frye has a nice Jr High team beating up on Caldwell 35-8 lead by young Tate Engle.

Tyler Starr is an average receiver at best. He has a little above average speed but below average hands. He is not very physical player and is not built to be catching passes over the middle. To say he is going to be one of the better WR's in the league is crazy. Not if we was on the basketball court it might be different. And with you being so stuck on trail being good this year why didn't you pick them to win this week?

Ridgewood is a powerhouse. I don't know a ton about them but they're normally good. Tyler Starr is shifty and a good kick returner as well. PVC is weak at skill position and Starr is one of the better ones.

If Frontier can find some lineman they have good players in Welker, Howell, Reynolds, Absher, Metheny and Warren transfer Rodney Barnes.

After reading previews and stuff on web these are my predictions- 1. Monroe Central 9-1 (6-0) 2.Fort Frye 8-2 (4-2) 3. Trail 5-5 (3-3) 4. Caldwell 6-4 (3-3) 5. River 5-5 (3-3) 6. Frontier 4-6 (2-4) 7.Shenandoah 1-9 (0-7)

Caldwell loses 7-0 and could of been a lot worse if newcomerstown could execute at all.

I knew it would be low scoring. Just being big doesn't mean you can just be boring and try to pound it every play. Perkins is bad. I doubt they get to 6 wins I predicted.

They really should of got beat by atleast 21 points if not more. Newcomerstown ran all over them but then had 4 or 5 turnovers late in drives when they were in scoring position. Caldwell's offense of play calling is down right pathetic. Line your qb up in shotgun and right straight up the middle every down.

Yea I'm sure they can push some teams around but it's easy to stack the box.

So who is the best team in the league? I'm sure Jay Circosta will figure it out but they just lost to a team that 2-28 in there last 30 games. King Jorris didn't tear up as everyone said he would. We were getting all kinds of updates until they lost.As for the Cadets Chandler needs to get in shape and they will be fine. Should be a fun league with alot of toss up games. Frontier has multiple weapons at RB Welker, Boley , Howell, and Barnes. Caldwell has no offense. Trail plays tonight or today. Shenandoah has a good Rb in VanFossen but no QB at all. River has a nice team lead by Sapp and if Flannery figures it out they will be one of the better teams.

Trail played well. 21-21 until bad punt gave Generals great field position. Still Trail had 2 shots to win. Daugherty played well @ QB. Connected w/ Starr on 45-yard TD. Had a 60-yarder to Starr called back on penalty and just overthrew Starr in corner of end zone from 35-yards out with 3 min left in 4th to tie game. Easily passed for over 200 yards w/ 115 to Starr. Trail played well for a team that nobody gave them any chance. Lightning delay hurt Trail's momentum. Caldwell next week will measure the difference between these 2 teams.
