Monroe should be good in the league every year, they are the biggest school and they have all those strong athletes thanks to the football program. I think their style under coach Tolzda is fun to watch but teams adjusted to it after the first time around last winter. Didn't they start like 9-0 and finish like 14-10? Like I said, they lost a lot in the seniors who graduated. They still have good athletes and Nixon could be a big difference maker. They will be good but they won't be great, nobody in the league will be scary good. Monroe has the athletes to do well every year but they haven't to this point. The season before last they were pretty bad. Hopefully all the teams get better and have good seasons, I like a competitive league.

I love the heated debate.. Monroe might beat Fort Frye in football but in basketball Fort Frye should be the favorite.

I can't wait to see to the younger Jorris boy drain threes over Lang this year.I know he is going to be focused on taking it right to him and Levi will play shutdown defense on Lang(FF) and Weichman (Caldwell). I've being waiting to watch these two for along time to be the top two players in the league.

These two are playing great so far this spring in AAU. Jorris has been lights out from three and Brown is so quick its not even funny.I think they will continue to shine into the season. The Forts in big trouble this year. I can't wait to see your face after we kick your butts,it's going to be funny.

Devin Brooker can drain at 5-6 hard for him to get a shot off sometimes but in JV he made over 50 in a 19-2 season for the Cadets JV team.I just don't see Central being better then a 500 team they lost so much scoring. You better hope Nixon comes back to 100 and puts up 17-19 ppg. In my eyes the top 5 players are Weichman Caldwell, Clark Caldwell, Lang FF, Legrean FF , Toland Trail. Frontier should be an upcoming team with Camino,Matheny , Schneider, Cochran, Barnes, Bradford. Trail will be really good as well.
How can you have no one from Monroe on your top five list considering we will win the title.

You remember when Brown guarded Lang in the 2nd half at the game in Woodsfield? Yep that's right Noles lead by 10 in 3rd only to lose by 9 on 18 2nd half by Lang.. Last years MC team was better then the 2013/14 Noles. Nixon better be Lebron. Pretty sure little Jorris and Brown scored less then 10 points combined in 2 games.Chandler Lang has been the leagues best defender for 2 yrs.

I think Brown was too busy shutting down 1st team all-stater Smith. I can't recall him ever gaurding Lang.

I'm pretty sure Smith had 4 fouls and sat out most of 3 and half the 4th. We're you even at the game?

I would take Lang and Legrean over any 2 you got.

The only reason Lang scored in the 2nd half was because of the wide open 3s he got from the tight defense being played on Smith. And yeah Lang and Lagraen MIGHT be the best pair of players in the league but what do they have after those two? Nothing.

Starr and Toland from Trail are an equal duo to Lang and Lagraen in my opinion.

Well Fort Frye also returns Sr Jordan Anderson who scored 7.6 ppg, Carter Kiefer So, all the young players are good that's why they went 19-2- Layton , Madison, Klinger, Brooker

Fort will be good, Lang and LaGrean are very good players. I don't know that they will be better without one of the best point guards in the state though. I'd say similar to last season as they will be improved at three of the five spots. Central will be solid, always athletic but I'd guess them to be just a tick below last season as well. Trail has a really good group of four and the best big man by far in the league. They don't really have a good ball handler and no depth. They should be good but I'd expect them to be slightly off of what they were a year ago too. Starr doesn't create a thing for himself and they don't really have anyone that is going to create shots for him. Best pair of players in the league would probably be Lang and LaGrean with Wiechman and Clark not far behind. Toland and Starr are really good too. I'd say player of the year is a three man race between Wiechman, Toland and whichever of the Fort pair that has the better season. I really think Toland is going to be a 20 point 15 rebound a game guy this year.

If you're going put Weichman and Clark in the running for best pair of players in the league then you must add Jorris and Brown for sure....

15 rebounds a game for Toland!? That's ridiculous!

What has little Jorris and Brown did? Brown struggles to score and little Jorris is timid. I honestly think Weichman and Clark are way better. I agree Toland is monster.
