Fort Frye plays much better defense, but Magnolia has two superior guards that will score.

Magnolia gets a ton of easy buckets off of run outs. If Fort Frye can stop that, they win this game.

I've seen both teams numerous times and honestly have no idea how this one plays out. If I'm guessing, I'll give FF the slight edge.

Magnolia beat MC tonight 91-83. I guess 2 players had 38 points for Magnolia. Magnolia lost to Noles 92-66 the first time they played.

Fort Frye is going to have a tough time trying to guard Preston Boswell from Magnolia. He's an outstanding player that can pass, score in a variety of ways and shoot the ball like no other. He was first team all state in West Virginia last year and averaged 24.5 ppg as a sophomore last year. This year he's averaging about 28 or more a game. Fort Frye will have a tough time stopping him.

I think Magnolia takes this one, too. And watch the Blue Eagles make a run at the WV 'A' title in Charleston if it can get past Wheeling Central.

I'm sure that Magnolia has improved but at one point in the season they lost to Monroe 92-66. Magnolia has scorers but they play zero defense. I think Cadets turn up the D and win by 5-10. They have already played at OUE vs St Clairsville a team that's in 4A title game and beat them by 16. Cadets shot very well there. This should be a good tourney warmup.Magnolia needed OT to beat Noles recently and Cadets beat them by 16.

I wouldn't put much into early season games. That loss to MC early was right after Magnolia had beat Wheeling Central and was certainly a letdown game.

IMO Magnolia is a much better team than St C.

You're correct that Magnolia isn't going to beat you with Defense, but Boswell and Campbell are better offensively than anyone FF has, and yes, better than LaGraen. FF needs to stay patient and they will get good looks. A shootout is advantage to Magnolia.

I would rather play Magnolia then MC for a 3rd time. The Cadets don't back down to comp also blewout Hartley the 6th seed in Coulmbus district out of 30 teams. Cols Hartley went 10-2 last 12 games with wins over Col Watterson, St Charles 2x, and Bloom Carroll.
