Had a feelin' the Blue Eagles would take this one. Doesn't happen often for Fort Frye to be down double digits, but credit Cadets for rallying.

Now that Magnolia has won the 3-A OVAC, best of luck in winning it all in WV 'A'.

Good team that's for sure fun game to listen to on the radio. Hard to get out of a 23 point hole and win. Every time the Cadets cut the lead to 4-5 Blue Eagles would make a huge 3. I would love to see a rematch or these 2 on the schedule for reg season.

I'm sure that Magnolia has improved but at one point in the season they lost to Monroe 92-66. Magnolia has scorers but they play zero defense. I think Cadets turn up the D and win by 5-10. They have already played at OUE vs St Clairsville a team that's in 4A title game and beat them by 16. Cadets shot very well there. This should be a good tourney warmup.Magnolia needed OT to beat Noles recently and Cadets beat them by 16.

When you're making your predictions for the Eastern District tourney, remember that regular season records and early season match ups don't necessarily mean anything. It depends on who you match up with and who's playing well.

Efarns is right. You can't judge a team solely on how they play against other teams. Matchups are everything.

Agree with ED'spy on this . . . I think The Seminoles are a good team, but Fort Frye has already beaten MC twice, so we know the Cadets are better. High school teams playing 3 times is pretty unusual, and 4 times is just ridiculous.

But let's not pretend that posting the Magnolia-MC score of 92-66 wasn't an attempt to insinuate what FF would do to Magnolia since FF beat MC twice. No other Magnolia score was referenced.

I love the fact that EDspy is diehard FF all the way, but if you tout them being so great, I have to give him a little crap after losing to a WV class A team.

I stand by FF being a flawed team as most are. MC certainly is and Magnolia just lost to Cameron last night.

Unfortunately all of these teams are at best very good, not great.

I don't know or care what division they are. Magnolia has a good program and they play quality basketball.
