7:00 Kickoff Times
7:00 Kickoff Times
Has anyone else noticed that for 2015, all kickoff times are now 7:00 instead of 7:30? I know that is the time many other parts of the state kick, but it will be a big adjustment for our area.

That seems strange especially early in the season when it is sooo hot. I have even seen schools push their games back earlier in the season because of the heat.

According to ohsaa all of VC's games start at 7:30 with the exception of week 3 @ Fairfield Union which starts at 7:00.

The Central Catholic League in Columbus is playing all games at 7 PM as well.

Its too early to consider anything on there to be set in stone, but the schedules on the OHSAA have the Burg @ Jackson game still at 7:30, all other Burg games have a 7:00 kick time posted.Mad_Dogg wrote:that's gonna suck especially when we play at Jackson this yr

Last year as I recall we kept all SEOAL games at 7:00, all non-league games at 7:30, and the Wellston game which was on a Saturday was at 8:00 I believe (??). Not sure if the league games being at 7 is an OHSAA thing or what is behind that, but at least the non-league games are a little later. Personally not a fan of the 7:00 games but you are right it is way too early for anything to be set in stone yet lol.
Don't want to rush football season too much, but the thought of a fall evening given the temps right now is pretty nice.

The Oak Hill schedule lists all games with a 7:00 P.M. start with the exception of Chesapeake (the season opener) at 7:30 and Eastern at 2:00 P.M. on a Saturday. However, I read that Eastern will have lights installed, so this should be a night game.

Yes, Eastern will have lights and should be contacting schools soon moving to Saturday night. May move a couple to Friday but having problems finding good crews already taken up on Friday nights.
