Re: SEOAL Basketball Champions
Interesting that there have been only 2 undefeated SEOAL champions since Gallia Academy went 10-0 in 1987. Chillicothe in 07 and Warren in 2013. The Cavaliers won the D2 state title in 2008, yet Zanesville won the SEOAL that year, beating the Cavaliers on the Day of Champions. Warren could register their 2nd unbeaten SEOAL season this year.
Re: SEOAL Basketball Champions
… IF Portsmouth takes care of business on the road at Warren … Warren might be coming to Logan with the winner taking home the SEOAL ring … Logan gave the Warriors all they could handle at the Warrior Dome but handle it they did - Chiefs have this one circled on their handy dandy pocket schedules no matter what is on the line … 2/20 Friday night tip off … Jims' Gym will be rockin' for sure …

Re: SEOAL Basketball Champions
What year did jackson win 17-20 games? Mid 2000's I'm thinking. Morrow and humphreys were seniors I believe.
Its kinda mind boggling to me Jackson has never won a championship outright.

Re: SEOAL Basketball Champions
During the 04-05 season , Warrens only SEOAL loss was to Jackson at the Warrior Dome. I believe it was a one or two point game. Jackson was lead by Humphreys an Morrow and coached by Geno Ford ??

Re: SEOAL Basketball Champions
pfloyd: If the Trojans manage to win at the WarriorDome, and your Chieftains beat the Warriors on the final weekend, then there will be a 3 way tie.......Portsmouth, Logan, and Warren will all have 2 losses, with the 3 teams splitting with each other. GO TROJANS!!
Jottings: Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe that the 1987 SEOAL champion Blue Devils were led by the current GAHS coach, Gary Harrison.

Re: SEOAL Basketball Champions
Trojandave...I would have to check. I thought Harrison graduated in '86. I remember GAHS was 19-3 ,m his senior year, but got upset by Logan in the Division 1 tourney at OU on a half-court shot by now Logan Elms head coach....By the way, I believe Warren could lose its last 2 league games and still get at least a co-championship.
Re: SEOAL Basketball Champions
History has shown that the road team has the advantage in the Portsmouth-Warren series

Gary Lee was a freshman when I did my student teaching at GA in the spring of 1984. He would have been a senior in 86-87.
