No, Athens is just a 4-5-6 seed, they lost to Fairfield Union a team we destroyed, and have played no one to the caliber of Warren's schedule. Sure throw out the "jaded" fact we lost to Athens, but that was during the absence of our best player. Put her 20+ in the game and we win by 3. Of the common opponents, we beat Fairfield Union and Alexander, of which Athens is 0-2.

Athens is 12-4 and 12-1 since they figured out their rotation + got the kinks worked out. Seems you've conveniently forgotten Logan as a common opponent but I guess since Warren lost to them by 9 at Warren and Athens beat them by 19 at Logan I can see why. Athens has lost 4 games this season by a total of 14pts which is less than the 17pts that Athens beat Warren by. Athens has won big games against Africentric, N-Y, Logan, Chillicothe and Warren all by double digits and will have a chance to avenge their 1 pt loss to Alexander this Thursday. So I can definitely see why you'd think a powerhouse 10-6 Warren team should get the #1 seed and a so so 12-4 Athens team should be somewhere between a 4-6 seed. However I have a feeling you might be a little disappointed when more realistic people work out the actual seedings.

Athens just blew out the defending state champ and state power Africentric. Athens should make their third straight regional. Like Athens football, doesn't matter what seed they are. They are winning this district

Another thing you might look at with Warren..........they lost to Fort Frye twice 12 and 10

If Buzzard played the 2nd and not the first she only made the difference of 2 points

So if they played Athens again Athens might win by less than two from what they did the 1st game.

No way! Jacksonfan, just last week you were pumping Vinton County. Our schedule is legit tough we've ducked no one and taken on some very strong teams, and are quietly putting together a very strong year.

Fact is this Coach- Warren may have an OK season but come tournament time they are never able to put it together. Ive been around the game and these 2 teams enough to know..if it does come down to Athens Vs Warren.. the lady warriors will have a long bus ride back to vincent to think about the GREAT season they had and where to get tickets to watch Athens at the next round.
