The Peake is not playing . Also prayers for our starting point guard Gage Rhodes who will miss the rest of the season due to medical reasons. This was also mentioned in todays Ironton Tribune.

We will keep you informed. They are going to Cleveland Clinic for more tests. He was on the bench Friday cheering on his teammates.

Glad to see the Vikings moving up PFloyd!! They are young and improving. Defense has been stellar. Tough games coming up for the Vikes!! Playing at Alexander and at Athens.

Nice rankings pfloyd. Only shakeup to it I would make is moving Chillicothe to at least nine and maybe eight since Bolte is back, but they'll get there in time.

Logan Elm travels to the new Tiger Den on Friday for a rematch with Circleville. The Braves are also home on Saturday, but I expect you to be in The Plains for that great matchup between ASVSM and Athens, as you should be.

I believe Marietta's record to be 6-10 after the the loss to THE BIG BAD BLUE on Saturday nite.

Chesapeake basketball is all about caring for one another, working towards team goals and picking one another up when they're down. The team and community are one. Gage is a "panther" and has the prayers and support to face this challenge. He's a fighter on and off the court. We're with you Gage!

ATHENS DEFENSE

Allows 36.7 ppg
Have held opponents under 50pts 11 games out of 12 (12-0) ... Logan Elm scored 55.
Have held opponents under 40pts 9 times.
Have held opponents under 30pts 3 times.

Athens has played 48 quarters - and have held opponents to 11pts or fewer in 31 of them.
Athens has played 48 quarters - and have held opponents to single digits 27 times, including ZERO to Watterson on Saturday and a TWO point quarter to (11-5) Alexander.

Athens won't shut unioto down. Unioto cN score quick and often. This team is very deep and talented

I would be tickled to death if Athens even gets the chance - that would mean they are at the Convo. A lot of good teams in D2 - it's not a given they will ever face each other.

I just want the chance for those 2 to play, but they would both have to earn their way to the Convo. It's going to be a tough road for whomever gets to even the Semi's.

Kind of makes tomorrows game between Athens & Warren even more important. Not only will they get the No. 1 at Logan - but will avoid Unioto (No. 1 at SE) until the district finals. Either way, the chance of Unioto facing either Athens or Warren in the first Rd at the Convo are pretty good. Not an easy 1st Rd match-up for the Tanks by any means.

I said chances are "pretty good" ... that is far from a guarantee either Athens or Warren will be at the Convo.

… I would NOT bet the house against Logan Elm 93dog … their defense is outstanding (just saw where they held Amanda to 22 points and the previous game 26 points vs a good Liberty Union team) … offensively the Braves ARE finding scorers other than Ridge Young - the Logan Elm boys of Coaches Stiverson and Holbert are becoming a TEAM at both ends of the floor …
