Unioto 75
Adena 57

Unioto came out clicking in front of the capacity crowd, hitting 10 1st half 3's on their way to 13 for the game. Adena is going to be scary next year once Hall and Thomas really start to click. Coach Smith does a great job and they should push for the SVC crown next season and it wouldn't surprise me to see them at the Convo this season. Unioto hosts Waverly tomorrow night.

Paint Valley 64
Westfall 60

Southeastern 61
Huntington 33

Zane Trace 61
Piketon 50

Zane Trace hosts New Lexington
Paint Valley travels to Whiteoak
Piketon travels to Vinton County
Southeastern hosts Circleville

Current SVC Standings:
Unioto 10-0, 15-0
Zane Trace 7-3, 11-4
Southeastern 7-3, 11-5
Piketon 5-5, 9-6
Adena 4-6, 9-8
Paint Valley 4-6, 8-7
Westfall 3-7, 6-9
Huntington 0-10, 2-14

Sorry I missed you this evening, pfloyd. Thanks for coming up to the new Tiger Den.

Circleville is a team that has played well in spurts this season, and they put one of those together tonight against an improving Logan Elm team. Most of LE's shots were contested and Circleville did a nice job of being aggressive on the boards. Very balanced effort for the red-and-black with Will Giffin tallying 13, Justin Hill 12, Evan Wadlington 8 and Michael Camp and Jordan Taylor with six each.

Logan Elm has made good strides this season, but is still a young team. They are going to put together some good streaks, like the four-game streak with a win over a quality Cambridge team, and then have one of these type of games. This is the first time Circleville has swept the regular-season series from LE this century, so this was a big game for the Tigers.

I'm assuming you will be down in The Plains this evening for the big Athens-ASVSM matchup. Make sure 93Bulldog gets you a nice seat on press row.

Hopefully Lutz can play tonight, didn't play after he landed on his hand in the 2nd quarter against Wellston. Will be a long evening against top ranked Akron St V without him.

A good program is deeper than 5 players . Athens is a big school. No excuses Raider

I think Athens can use that excuse. Losing 6'6 Ibi Watson shooting guard and 6'5 Parker Stewart point guard, both are division 1 college players. Also lost 6' 200 lbs Saltzman. So Lutz is a big reason Athens is 13-1. He is a top 5 player in SEO and very underrated

Athens 48
Akron St V 60
Burrow 22 points
Lutz 11 points
Baddley for Akron had 24 points and 5 dunks. Williams had 20 points

It was big boy basketball. No cheap fouls, very physical basketball. Athens gave the 4th ranked team in the country a big scare for 4 quarters. Burrow just ran out of gas to pull off the monster upset

Warren doesn't have the size to play with them. St V scored at will on them at state two years ago. This St V team moves the ball a lot better than the last two season at St V. I'd love to see them play Wilmington and Cleveland VASJ. I still need to watch Unioto and John Glenn. They look tough on paper

Warren didn't have the size to compete against that much more athletic Athens team either. Yet ASVSM beat Athens by 12 while Warren beat Athens by 32. Can fully understand how those facts can lead an intelligent person to conclude that Warren wouldn't stand a chance against ASVSM.

I was hoping no one would ask, lol. His son was playing in a tournament over at the junior high gym, but he was technically in the same building.
