2015 DII Logan Sectional

Warren (15-2)
Athens (16-2)
VInton Co (13-6)
Sheridan (12-6)
Logan Em (10-9)
Meigs (7-11)
Marietta (6-13)
NL. (6-10)
FU (6-11)

I think with 12 wins and the respect for Coach Combs program slots Vinton County in at -#3 for me.
I'd seed Sheridan three with all they are playing and considering they had some early season injuries from what I've been told, but Vinton is another good team and Coach Combs does a nice job down there. It's really splitting hairs.

Students in Sheridan's computer programming classes have been working on this for weeks.

The Generals are 13-5, btw.

Warren moves to 16-2 with a nice 63-43 win over Fairfeild Christian Academy. Friday nights matchup with Portsmouth at the WarriorDome could possibly be between 2 #1 seeds. Always a great game and possibly the last between 2 outstanding programs.

The Vikings have won two straight after dropping 3 in a row. Although the opponents haven't been super talented, VC has done what good teams are supposed to do, win big. Vs both Waverly and River Valley, VC put up 40+ points in the first half and finished strong to win by 20+. VC's last game to make an impression is this Friday @ Meigs who has won 3 out of 4 and are 9-11 overall after starting the year out 1-5. VC needs to have another big game Friday and hope for a Sheridan slip up to have any shot at the 3 seed.

What are final records? Seeds are given Sunday but I believe all coaches must have their records in by today.

Predictions?

Warren is 17-2 after beating Portsmouth and still have to play Marietta at home Tuesday and finish up with a trip to Logan Friday. We'll see how the bracket comes out then.

New Lex will be last only having Sheridan as the only team to back them up.

The 6-9 rankings will be most interesting of the sectional.

Agreed. Meigs has won 4 of 5 capped off by a huge win over VC tonight. I think they may have a case for the 6 seed.

Meigs is on a roll. Athens has a new boost, as if they needed much. It will be interesting to see if Athens and Warren meet in the tournament if the difference is enough to push Athens to a win. This sectional has the makings for some great basketball.

I see it as Fairfield Union and Meigs taking the sixth and seventh seeds (depending on how the vote goes for who gets what), with Marietta and New Lex taking eight and nine.

Meigs has a nice win over VC and Fairfield has a nice win over Logan.

Warren has won 12 in a row, what kinda roll is that? Hope that boost Athens got isn't worth 33 points. Lol Athens coaches are smart they'll worry about Sheridan, Logan Elm and Unioto b4 they set sights on a rematch with the BIG BAD Blue!
