Fairly tough schedule with SOC and Valley, West, Minford and an improved Waverly. Add Ironton and Jackson for non league not sure who else is on schedule.

My guess is the team that played in the regional finals and gave Hartley all they wanted will figure it out though and be playing again in Week 11.

The level of success will depend on qb play. This team lost a lot but also has a lot returning. Should be another good season for The Burg.

This upcoming year will be a down year for the Burg, they will always be a tough contender every year pretty much but this year I believe will be a down year for the Pirates. My guess will be 6-4. As the next few years go along, Burg will get tougher to beat. I see a State Champ run the year after next and then possibly for a couple years after that with the strength, speed, and talent coming up. JMO

Wheelersburg isn't playing Ironton this year? When's the last time that game didn't occur between these two schools? Who could Burg get for weeks one and four? With only 8 games on the schedule, they would probably have to win at least 6-7 of those games to make into the playoffs.

What the school ADs know and what is posted in the OHSAA scheduler isn't always the same. I would guess with 99% confidence that Burg vs. Ironton week 1 is already scheduled, just not loaded yet. If you remember, last year the site showed Ironton vs. Athens in week 6 forever, but that never happened either. I just looked and according to that schedule, Ironton only has 2 games loaded so far.....
