It can't be Cabell Midland cause Midland has 10 games.

I have heard rumors of Beallsville in week 4, but not sure how valid they are

Getting kind of late, may end up being a 9 game regular season.

I'm starting to believe we might have a 9 game schedule unless we travel fat

NCH was a 5-5 team last year, with 4 losses to playoff teams. A good pickup I guess, but gate wise, it will be very poor from the NCH side. I would venture to guess there will be more neutral observers from SOC schools there than people who travel from NCH.

Who will be taking snaps for the Pirates this year? Running backs? Receivers?

I look for Howard and Burk to be a great duo in the backfield with Newsome seeing some time in power situations. J.Darnell will be a big asset again at TE and Henderson and Davis will likely be the primary receivers with possibly C.Darnell, Garrett or Hannah. QB could possibly be Davis, but I have heard rumors of Burk as well. Time will tell on QB...

I heard Garrett and C Darnell are not playing. I think Davis will be qb and Howard and Burk will be slot backs, Newsome fullback and of course those three are interchangeable dending on formations. . Bivins will play some receiver also as well as Irving. Burg has a lot of talent and will need for a few inexperienced players to step up but that is no different than any other year. The pirates reload. There will be a couple of surprise kids that know one will expect to produce just wondering who it will be this year? Should be a good year.....

curious to see what they do with holden. freshmen seldom play at burg but he could contribute and be a playmaker at more than one position.

Yeah, that's why I didn't list him in my first message about key players. Not sure if he will play varsity or not.

The thing with Holden is he has such a bright future on the hardwood I would hate to see him suffer a injury that would jeopardize that. He is pretty impressive on the football field though.

if he doesnt get much taller i think he could have a future at the next level in football. his size and speed could be lethal as a wideout.

I don't think he should play varsity. Look how the greeno kid turned out.....he was a beast his freshman year and they had him play varsity and it hurt him physically AND mentally! seemed like he was scared the rest of his hs years????? lots of injuries that were brought on him mentally, unfortunately. holden will be fine as a freshman playing on the freshman team. next year he and other very good athletes that are freshman will be ready for the varsity level next year and work their way up to a state championship their junior or senior year!
