Re: Eastern @ Western
I as well like Western in a close one @ home on a few conditions.
1) - They play as a team like they have the past few games.
2) - Everyone is back and healthy. (Shanks has missed last several games due to illness, Riggs and foreigner due to injuries.).
3) - Control the ball and do NOT turn it over. Several, and I mean several dumb turnovers in the loss @ Paint Valley over the weekend.
All in all, I'm looking forward to the match-up tonight in Latham. If Shanks is back, I'm looking forward to the matchup of him and Thacker from Eastern.
My early prediction is Western on top 50-42. Without Shanks/Riggs/Foreigner, could be a different story.
Nonetheless, GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO INDIANS!!! WOO!!!

Re: Eastern @ Western
You were definitely close buckeye. Was a hard fought game by both teams. Western jumped out to a quick 5-0 lead and never looked back. Think Western may be a sleeper this year in the league. Watch out for them, they're playing good ball.buckeyes911 wrote:I told you!!!

Coach Miller has molded this team in his image ! Tough nosed team plays hard start to finish . I'm not sure how the rest of the season will go but these boys sure do make our community proud by there effort on the floor.
Re: Eastern @ Western
Western has shown "major" improvement from that 32-75 opener with Adena !!! great to see the turnaround … usually a "turnaround" or "big improvement" means the kids are "listening to the coaches", "executing on the court" , "getting good coaching" , "believing in what the coaches are teaching" , " learning from mistakes" … sounds like all of the above for Western … great to see !!! - and the committee of one - me - I'm watching the Latham boys … best of luck vs a good Portsmouth Clay squad this Friday night !!!

Leist was not in this game, due to an ankle injury. I was told at the game that it's a pretty bad sprain. Unknown how long he could be out.Eaglesnest wrote:I was told that Leist did not play in this game?WHS_Indians1 wrote:Yes, Thacker played. dirt_cinders
