Time Warner in central Ohio will broadcast this game on channel 317 or 1317
Re: Semper Fidelis All American Game
Number 1 Lawson looked really good last night. This was the worst uniforms and the worst looking field I saw of the 3 all star games.

It was really cool watching Mr. B. last night. Looked good as usual. Ghood preview of things to come.
Re: Semper Fidelis All American Game
Still from what I saw he still needs to be redshirted and physically develop! Man is OSU loaded at the QB position, I also look for some transfers to happen over the next 2-3 years

He has put on loads of muscle from last year to this year. He looks huge on the basketball court. He will redshirt and osu will bulk him up. But as for the game I thought he looked great. His receiver fumbled a touchdown.

Re: Semper Fidelis All American Game
He didn't blow anyone away with gaudy numbers or looks especially dominant all week, but the consistency shown by Ohio State quarterback commit Joe Burrow was enough to show he can still put up numbers against stiff competition.
Burrow, who plays a soft high school schedule, was effective against All-Star competition all week at the Semper Fidelis All-American Bowl. He finished the game 9-for-12 for 123 yards, but the work he did in daily practices was more impressive. Burrow's arm strength has improved and he has an ability to pick up yards with his feet when chased out of the pocket. He was, by far, the most consistent quarterback on the East roster.
from USC Rivals. Burrow looked pretty good. All perfect throws. The WR's on both teams struggled on that soccer field.

Re: Semper Fidelis All American Game
Even if the opponent was so weak (maybe Cleveland Glenville vs Zanesville Rosecrans every Friday for the season) 63 TD's and 2 Int's is impressive. 6 TD's in the state championship game when your line is getting dominated is also impressive.

Joe's games versus DeSales, ASVSM & Toledo Central were possibly his best of his career.
None of those teams are considered 'weak.'

Doesn't it get old at some point----attacking a kid and belittling his performance? It defies any logic that someone could look his playoff record and call his competition soft or weak. I would imagine most teams that make the final four dominate their league, the MAC being the exception to the rule.
Is their a QB at OSU who didn't dominate their competition in HS?

Re: Semper Fidelis All American Game
Athens may have played a weak regular overall schedule that had them playing a running clock most of their games but once they entered the play offs they still beat teams that were beating teams from those areas telling you that if Athens was in those areas they wold have beat most of them with a running clock too. If you believe Athens played a weak schedule from start to finish ...you would have to say the whole division Athens was in was weak all over the state of Ohio. And that wasn't the case.

Re: Semper Fidelis All American Game
I think when someone from Rivals says "weak schedule", it's a half-ass way of saying "it's not big school and we've never heard of half these teams." Similar "criticisms" I recall being written about Jon Diebler, Grant Gregory, and Joey Galloway.Fortdawg wrote:Doesn't it get old at some point----attacking a kid and belittling his performance?
