The ovc is aweful in football. It is what it is. Ironton is the only football team that is usually good and they are down right now.

Portsmouth has been down in football since 2007. It's hard to believe its been that long. The basketball program turned itself around and the football program fell flat. Strange.

They lost the mojo when they left Spartan.

I hate to say this but the OVC with the addition of Ironton and Portsmouth this year does not look very good. Gallipolis next year will not help the league they have not won a game. Taking nothing away from RH's victory but I told everyone that Portsmouth was not very good. They cannot stop anyone on defense.

The Ironton/Coal Grove game will be the OVC game of the week without question.

These two schools are finally playing one another in a regular season game, and boy, will it count...
The winner is in the Driver's Seat for the outright OVC Conference Title
The winner is definitely in the playoff hunt for post season action
The loser may have a chance at split conference title with a few lucky breaks
The loser is out of the playoff picture all together
