Woods was not a factor tonight bottom line Roney fouledout with five minutes left in the game they had no answer for her all night she pretty much did what she wanted but eastern just had nothing off the bench she finished the night with 30 points westerns guard play was average but still congratulations to The lady Indians

I'm not arguing but if woods wasn't a factor and the guards were average how did Western win ? Carson is a beast no one can or will stop her the key was Westerns guard play. Western was down 3 when there leading scorer Shanks fouled out . They were up 3 on Eastern when Roney fouled out. Westerns point guard was clutch in the 4th quarter at the line and scoreing off the dribble. Western point guard Erin Brewster ended up with 21 and close to 10 of those were in the 4th quarter. Great game to watch I think the turning point in the 4 th was a technical foul on coach King that Was a 4 point swing for Western!

And Manitodan are guards was the reason Western beat you Shanks had 21 points 6 asst,6 atlas and 4 boards at your place. If that's a average player every coach would take 5 of those average kids on the floor for a game.

Please don't underplay these kids ability . Not saying there all Americans but they are a little bit better than average.

Average guard play? Woods not a factor? Woods is a factor whether she scores or not. And id like for u to find 2 better guard combos than shanks, and Brewster in the soc. They are not only scorers, they usually have several steals a game, and leading scorers. Western finally has something to get excited about and everyone wants to start the average team chant. Wow!

Nobody is saying average team just average night! Westerns guards struggled in the first half being down most of it, then tied it up at the half but it wasn't their guard play, eastern just got sloppy! Eastern only has two scorers and one was on the bench most of second half in foul trouble,so westerns guards did make a game of it in the second half against a one girl team and scored some in the fourth.so with that said imo it was just an average night! Congrats to the lady Indians, good luck rest of the season!

My gosh , don't be so over sensitive , the night I watched without Woods having what seemed like 25-30 rebounds the Indians don't leave ND with a W . Having said that I'll assume the first half might have been the worst half they have played all year .. More TO than points in a half doesn't spell good ball handling / guard play to me - but hey , I just saw that game .. Congrats to western , enjoy the ride .

IndianFan4Life are you referring "two better guards" to only the SOC 1? Cause there are several teams with better guard combo. SW, Burg, Valley, Oak Hill. Just want a clarification. Western is on a heck of ride but drink too much of the Kool Aid. SOC 1 is in a down spell right now, it is wide open. Yes having a 6' plus girl helps a lot, it does change things cause you have to game plan for her...Like Manitoyou says enjoy the ride,but keep things in perspective..

Guard CC Shanks had 22 at ND. And was taking it to the rack regularly, and heading to the line for two. And ND game wouldnt have been as close as it was if not for the excellent post play of the Senior (name?). Beat ND, beat Eastern! Sounds pretty solid to me. As far as Woods she knows her role. Like i said b4 shes a threat whether she scores or not.

And have you even seen Western play Shooterindagym? And Id put Shanks and Brewster up there. Junior and a Sophomore only going to get better. Good luck to the Lady Indians the rest of the way. 8-0 is a hell of a start koolaid or not.

Thank ya! Sounds like both games were very competitive tonight.Streaks vs Tigers on Monday and Eastern gets another shot at Western in consalation game.Both should be good games.
