Thought home/away stands was determined by pre sale tickets sold by Friday?

That's how it was determined for Jackson/DeSales just a few days ago

I would rather deal with the parking situation up there than to drive to Nelsonville any day!

I don't think the Wheelersburg fans know what they're in for. I'm just going to guess that most of the fans haven't seen Hartley play this season. The team is not very big, but they are physical and smart. Hartley has been battle tested all season which is going to be the difference. Wheelersburgs only test was Jackson, who man handled them. I just don't see Wheelersburg getting enough stops to be in this game. I also think the Hartley defense will surprise you. They have really stepped it up this year.

shoot n run, this will be a battle. Don't base anything off the past 12 weeks. All the records and stats go out the window this week. Burg will be ready to play. They have a solid run defense. It will be tough sledding running the ball. Has Hartley played a no huddle team this year?

So with the Howard boy out for the season with a broken leg (from the late hit in the end zone last night) how will this affect the Pirate offense.

They have Burke, Hutch and Cunningham. They should fill the spot.

Bottom line is that Burg will show up to play. Could Hartley win by a bunch? Sure. Could Burg pull off the win? Sure

Everyone on here just needs to chill the crap out and let the players play the game on the field and not get caught up in all the trash being slung on here.

These are two very fine football programs as proven by both teams still playing in week 13 with the winner going on to the state semi-finals. I believe it will be around the day of the game that Burg won their only state championship 25 years ago. That year they beat a team in Warren JFK that everyone in the state said they didn't have a chance to beat. JFK had too much speed and was way to big for Burg to handle. Well, Burg's defense rose to the occasion and beat JFK 14-7 on that cold day at the Shoe.

Good luck Pirates! Burg wanted another crack at Hartley and here it is. A run for a state championship starts this weekend just like it did in week 1 of the playoffs and also last night.

St. Clairsville did the same thing to Hartley. Kid for Hartley scores a touchdown and the st. Clairsville kid tackled him about 8 yards deep in the endzone.

Sorry to hear that Wheelersburgs situation resulted in an injury.

They have heart. They are a real team not some gang of recruits on scholarship put together as a division V all star team since their recruiting office starts turning away boys when they get to 212. This time it's different. They've been playing together for years. They are going to get some stops. 1989! They are better than last year. Their dads wear camo. They already won the home side. They don't need deer whistles to make it to the game and back alive. Their fans don't smoke and curse and laugh at the other team. They Are Ready. They won baseball. They will be able to run the ball. This is a new week and all the previous games we won mean everything and the losses mean nothing. They are coming ready to play. The coaches have a plan. Southern Pride! They will be able to pass the ball. They Are Burg. They have EM3. Fish heads! They are a community. Chilli > Nelsonville. They have a hype video. They are just like Coldwater only better. They won the Ironton rematch and you are next. They are wearing orange and black. Estaban Weaver!

I sat on the home side last year at nelsoville, and hands down the Hartley fans, which was pretty much the family of the kids playing, were the rudest people you've ever come across. No class at all. So that response is not surprising.

Then sit with the classy fans of Wheelersburg this week. Not sure what made Hartley fans rude and classless.
Seems like your just taking random shots at Hartley hoping to make people resent Hartley more.

Respond with some football analysis. Slogans and school spirit and vague statements and discussion about all the non-football things, well that's fun and all, but I'm more interested in hearing about your team. Hartley beat DeSales who beat Jackson who beat Burg. Sure the transitive property of football doesn't always work but there is a logic to it. Explain Jackson's 27 and what was unusual that night or where you failed and what you've fixed since then. Then your goose egg. Think and talk like a coach breaking down the game film. It's more interesting than chest thumping.

Here's an example from our side. Our corners can be beat and for big gains. They give a step or two and then struggle to get it back. When the ball is in the air, they don't seem to see it. They don't seem to be able to get vertical and knock it down like the guys could last year. DeSales scored on a long pass. St Clairsville scored on a long pass. Both are very good teams that were able to exploit this weakness. Explain how you can do the same and more often. A not a simple "we just will" or "any given Friday" to take advantage of this particular weakness and hit big on long throws your expectations have to be built on proven experience. You beat Ironton and Valley, both very good teams. Did you have any success in those games throwing the ball?

That's all run and shoot was asking for. Analysis, evidence, and conclusion. String one together.

Havent seen BH this year. Burg should be able to match up decently with them. Gotta root for the Pirates! Go Burg, represent SOhio with the win.
