Thats total crap!! Ironton always gets screwed by the OHSAA. We always have to drive farther than our opponents. I thought the game was supposed to be at a neutral site between the two teams. Ironton has to drive through Burg to get to the game. Always the southern team gets screwed.

C'mon man it's like what 15 more minutes for ironton to drive to Portsmouth than Wheelersburg to drive to Portsmouth . That's better than the OHSAA sending both teams 2+ hours away to play each other.tigercannon71 wrote:Thats total crap!! Ironton always gets screwed by the OHSAA. Yeah. Valley would gladly trade you game sites. Better than going to Nelsonville York.bleed_blue wrote:C'mon man it's like what 15 more minutes for ironton to drive to Portsmouth than Wheelersburg to drive to Portsmouth . Re: Ironton v. Wheelersburg. Week 12
Should be a great game keys will be Ironton not turning the ball over and not committing penalties.
I needs to sustain long drives and get all running backs involved.
Don't need to get into a shootout with Burg that will be a losing scenario for Ironton.
Defense needs to keep Burgs receivers from getting behind them and hit the big plays.
Ironton has played against Raceland and Meigs two teams with good QB's and passing game.
Jackson surprised Ironton by going to a strong passing attack and Ironton never recovered from that.
Wheelersburg is good and a very dangerous quick strike team.
They simply dominated Ironton in the second half when they played earlier this this year.
Ironton needs to remember that and know they can't afford to allow Wheelersburg to dictate the game.
Looking forward to a good game between to very good teams.
May both teams play well and come out healthy.
Good Luck Tigers.

stop being a freaking cry baby ,Ironton has had first round games at the tank and you all never brought in extra bleachers and your visitors side is smaller with poles aznd a press box blocking your view you will have plenty of seats after halftime anyway

boo hoo....higher seed always drives shorter distance, but on side note as you are driving by burg, lots of good places to eat stop and support!

Yea isn't that the truth if anybody has a compliant it's the Valley faithful having a 30-40 longer drive than Grandview to the middle of no where. There's just nothing good about the whole Nelsonville experience.nutronron2012 wrote:Yeah. Valley would gladly trade you game sites. Well ever knows driving through Burg at night is suicide I mean it is like the war zone here in Albuquerque.Jolly P(irate) wrote:tigercannon71 wrote:Thats total crap!! Full of really bad people with guns and knifes and every other bad thing you can think of.
LOL.
Could be worse the powers to be could have put it hours away for both teams and Wheelersburg is the higher seed and driving 15 minutes further is nothing but a drop in the bucket.
Portsmouth is the fairest site for both teams.

Neutral Site between the two teams, okay then lets have this game in Franklin Furnace, it is between the to schools, about even time the only down side for Ironton, if you don't think Portsmouth has enough visitor side seating, you might want to bring a lawn chair to Franklin Furnace.
As for this game, not picking sides, it will be much closer than the week one game, truly believe it will come down to whoever has the ball last.

Not going to pay attention to cg ironton in this thread. He will be ignored.
Ironton has improved their offensive production. I've not seen them since game one, but my guess is they have put Palladino in the I, in a pro set keeping the corners on an island. Palladino faster than most line backers to the edge.
The reason burg has been nasty recently on defense is the implementation of the four man front. They are able to control the line of scrimmage with four instead of their traditional 5 man front. This frees up another linebacker to roam. #31 usually has this job, and he is really good.
The loss of 75 will hurt the tigers but even with him, I still think burg wins.

Are you freakin' serious?? You want to moan and complain about driving 25 minutes to Portsmouth? You sir are a crybaby. Where would have rather had this game. at Jackson and make both schools drive 45 minutes or more to play a game between two schools 19 miles apart. Would you rather we played it at Ironton or maybe we could ask the OHSAA if the Burg could have another home game so you only have a 15 minute drive.tigercannon71 wrote:Green would have been best choice for this game, but noooooo they always gitta put the screws to us Tigers and make us drive.
