I wouldn't be surprised if Southeastern finished higher than 5th. With Skeens and couple other nice freshman added to the mix they will be pretty good.

Re: SVC 14-15
I haven't seen them play. I'm sure they were very good last year against other junior high girls. This is a different level, though. I've heard the Skeens girl is good. What other freshmen do they have that will be playing varsity? Are there any other freshmen at other schools who should make an immediate impact?toast wrote:I wouldn't be surprised if Southeastern finished higher than 5th. I don't know many names and I'm not sure if they have any freshmen besides Skeens that will make an immediate impact. But that group won the SVC league and tournament both Jr. High years. There's some nice players in that freshman class.Jerry Newman wrote:I haven't seen them play. I'm sure they were very good last year against other junior high girls. Tonight's matchups
S.E. Vs The U
WF vs Piketon
Z.T. Vs Adena
H.H.S. Vs P.V.
Typical preview, nothing new to report from that stand point.
The U and S.E. will be the class of the field.
Adena and P.V. Will battle for the bottom.
The four in the middle could be in any order.

Re: SVC 14-15
This years league race could very well come down to the last game of the season between Unioto and Southeastern. The experience of The U against the youth of SE for the title? Couldn't tell a lot from the preview but the U is solid at all positions with the returning poy. SE has a added a freshman that will be a major player in determining the outcome along with a couple other freshman that should contribute to a nice returning core. Westfall has the size and athleticism to compete and piketon is scary with their ability to slow down games and nice size. Zane trace has some nice size athletes, play hard nosed man to man d and if their guard play steps up they could make some noise. Huntington is above Paint Valley and Adena but may lack the physical presence to beat the ones mentioned above them. Best of luck to all the coaches, schools, and players.

Re: SVC 14-15
After watching the preview, I definitely had SE too low. They do have a couple freshmen that will help a lot. Skeens is a talented player. The more she has the ball in her hands the better they will be. Also, the tall girl, Collins, was a beast on the boards last night. Add Wheeler in the mix with those two and they should be very improved. I still think Unioto has to be considered the favorite because of their experience. Hopefully, the Nelson girl is ok and isn't seriously injured. I think these 2 will be the top 2 teams this year.
