NYBuckeye96: Portsmouth will be playing a round robin schedule in both leagues for a total of 20 games. They are eligible to win both leagues in basketball. Football competition in the OVC doesn't begin until the 2015 season. I know the PHS volleyball team won the OVC this year, and also competed in the SEOAL.

I guess the ones from Huntington and Raceland didn't get the word to show up :122246

Johnson and Malone are both Seniors and have to sit out half of the regular season games. My question would be why they left their programs for their Senior year knowing they would miss half the season???

SP has new coach and no one bk to help Johnson. So odds are they play 22 plus 1 tournament game. With Ironton he will play 11 games prob will have more wins in these 11 than he will with 22@ SP Better coach better facilities better chance of more wins and a lot better chance on a deep tourny run. Quality vs quanity smart young man. Same for boy from Sv Both boys will be better bball players after 11 games with out playing a game. Weights vertimax off. drills etc. They both will be primed for a deep tourny run.

Portsmouth will be dominated after Ironton is full strength they will give Portsmouth all they want. Everyone else is playing for 3rd from what I seen.

Dominated? really? Is Portsmouth not as good as advertised?

I said I think Portsmouth will dominate the league. After Ironton is full strength they will give them (ptown) all they want. Everyone else is playing for 3rd. So yes Portsmouth will kill everyone with their pressure and ability to score. Ironton will be the only team that can handle them and we will have trouble first time around.

After what I was told about Previews last night, the Johnson kid is probably better off being in Ironton whether he has to sit out or not. I heard South Point doesn't have much and won't be too good.

Uncle what would anyone have to be scared as to what happened at Fairland ? The got their kids and were slapped on the wrist. Sounded bad to start but the state didn't follow through with nothing. So now anyone that does anything not by the book can't be punished can they? How could you allow Fairland to walk and penalize others? State has no leg to stand on now. Transfer flood gates just got worse IMO. Now next yr things will change as a transfer not in your school district even if they sit out 50% will count as 5 boys / players. Get you 2-4 of those kids and might take you from D3 to D2 in a hurry. That's the way I understand the new rules anyway.
