Athens (10-0) vs Granville (8-2) - Week 11

Post by 93Bulldog »

Granville makes the trip down to southeast Ohio to take on the Athens Bulldogs, who just completed their 2nd straight 10-0 season - and third in four years.

It's a 4-5 seed matchup Friday night at 7:30 on The Plains at Scott Riggs and Family Stadium.

Updated stats for Athens after week 10 games can be found on the Athens team page (located below schedule/results in the left hand column.) ... http://trivalleyconference.com/Athens.html

Dogs win, but I look for Granville to score some points.
I think Williams will be the playmaker in this one.

Will it be like the Logan Elm fame last year?

I don't think so. I look for a 60-30 type of score.

Granville puts up points but it won't be a scare into late 4th quarter like last year ! If Athens comes out with the identity they've had all season it'll be a comfortable 4th quarter Athens 49-28

Athens makes the Play-Offs for the 4th Year in a row.
Granville makes it in this year after just missing last season (Finished 9th).

Athens hasn't had the problems every expert thought they would of making the Play-Offs after joining the TVC-OHIO...
Also, not only have they made it 4 years in a row, they have been in the TOP 4 each of those years (Hosting)...

2013- #1
2012- #3
2011- #2

Riggs Family Stadium should be packed for this one...

I don't think you'll see the stadium packed. However it should be since it's the last chance to see the all time greates team in Ohio History.

Always amazes me that the Athens fans dont support their Bulldogs better. On the home side it is always at most half full. Come On Man - support your team !!!!

I've been going to old Rutter Field and new Scott Riggs and Family Stadium for close to 30 years now - the support, the amount of fans is far superior to any other season that i can remember.

It's tough to pack the house when fans know its going to be a 50 point blowout - just wait and see how many people show up Friday. I gurantee standing room only.

BTW, feel free to stay at home - or go watch NY or something.

That is all.
