That Gregory team was really good. One of the best high school games I've watched was them playing Jackson in 03. But I wouldn't say they were on the same level as the team here now.

With all deference to the '03 team the Athens 2014 squad should set the standard going forward, if they advance like they are predicted or projected you can probably start using the phrase "best ever" in school history.
Now, lol back on subject I think Granville is out gunned in this one. I will give it the Bulldogs by 21-ish.

I know Athens coach liked to go for it early on 4th down last year. That could bite him in the butt if it backfires

I think Granville will bring pressure up the middle and make their D ends stay home.
The first couple possessions for Athens may be tricky, but once they throw a couple screen and or quick slants the game will get out of hand quickly.

Granville is starting several freshmen in some key positions. That is quite impressive. I look for the twins for Athens to get a lot of looks because of their height, I think the Granville corners are "smaller". The linebacker core is supposed to be a force to be reckoned with for Granville.

Watched Granville play was not impressed. Bulldogs easily in this. 50+-21
