Alexander 5-4 vs Meigs 4-5 @ Alexander
Senior night for the Spartans so I expect that group of
Young men to leave it all on the field one last time and make this
a great home game to watch ....

Re: Alexander 5-4 vs Meigs 4-5 @ Alexander
From the posts on here and the papers, it seems like Meigs has gotten some players back from early season injuries. I will take the Mauraders to win 28-14.
Re: Alexander 5-4 vs Meigs 4-5 @ Alexander
Two very similar teams...They have only beat teams that have losing records, other than Alexander beating Symmes Valley.
They both have beat Wellston, Vinton and River Valley. Against those teams
Alexander outscored them 65-33 (these points given up were with the starters still in the game)
Meigs Outscored them 111-47 (most these points given up was with the starters out)
So I am going to take Meigs by 3 scores.

I plan to be there rooting on the Spartans. Looks like cold and rain.
Oh well, Rise Up!

If both teams play their best - look for Alex to win this one. If Meigs can get pressure on Alex's QB then it could go Meigs way.

This is a big game to build momentum for next year. 5-5 or 6-4?
I look for Alexander to pull this one out 28 - 26.
Go Alex.

This one is going to be cold and muddy. Look for it to be low scoring now. Both teams will battle hard want I got to end on a high note. Good luck to both teams.

Good luck to coach Penrod and Alexander tonight. Proud of what he has accomplished, but it doesn't surprise me. He is a great coach, but an even better leader and I'm sure the Seniors are very thankful for his leadership.

Rise Up Spartans!
Last game for some outstanding seniors. Make it count - a winning record would be a heck of an accomplishment!
Proud of Coach Penrod, his staff, and most importantly the players who have BOUGHT in down in Albany.
Go Spartans!

The play calling for Alexander was terrible, give credit to the Meigs defensive coaches they had Alexander figured out, Every play they ran it looked like Meigs had been in the offensive huddle. Coaching is going to have to get much better for them Alexander to compete for the upper half of the division. Athens will drop off some losing 24 seniors then Nelsonville and Meigs have their best athletes coming. A Meigs fan told me Friday they had four freshman starting on defense, after the top three River Valley is on the rise then a huge drop off

Meigs does have a very young team. We should be coming along pretty well for a few years.Rolling Rock wrote:The play calling for Alexander was terrible, give credit to the Meigs defensive coaches they had Alexander figured out, Every play they ran it looked like Meigs had been in the offensive huddle.
