Nelsonville-York wins this one 3-1. Lots of talent in this one, but Madison Davis of NY clearly the standout.

#2 Adena over #1 Nelsonville York 3-1 is my prediction.

Jessica Hutton (SR), Jenna Hutton (SR) Carissa Poehler (SO), and Kirsten Dawson (SR) for Adena should control things.

NY's Madison Davis (SR), Kaitlyn Hurd (JR), and Freshman Sidney Fick will try to hold off Adena's attack. If Davis is on her game NY could very well turn the table on Adena.

Should be a good contest ! Both teams have alot of talent and both teams have been well coached.

Adena's defense is top notch.
It is truly under appreciated by most.
To beat them you need to be more than one dimensional at the net, two dimensional might get it done but both hitters better bring their A game.
Honestly you better have two very good attack options available each rotation if your gonna beat them.

Offensively this is not the best Adena team ever, but their defense is so good The X would put his $ on this group against any previous Adena squads.

I'm taking the Warriors in 3
With York getting into the high teens the first two sets and maybe breaking 20 in the 3rd.

I had a chance to see both games Tuesday night. The best team in the building was Adena by far. Adena has far too many weapons and the defense was far superior to than any of the other 3 teams playing. Nothing against NY, but in order for them to win Saturday, Adena would have to leave half of their squad at home. The Hutton twins are always a force on the court, but look out for Putnam, she is becoming a big time player herself, and Dawson is terrific at distributing the ball to the correct player at the net.

Look for Adena to leave no doubt about who the better team is Saturday.

So who was Adena second seed to? Wheelersburg or West fall?

Westfall

Westfall won the first meeting with Adena, but Adena was without two starters. Adena defeated Westfall in three sets at the end of the regular season.

No doubt about that.
And a cousin to the Hutton twins to boot!

I look for her to set the league on fire next year,
she is the X's 2015 pre season Dark Horse for P.O.Y.
But it's still 2014 and she has 5 more games and a State Title to play wingman for her
Talented cousins.

Looking for Adena to make the state tournament. Very impressed with what they are doing on the court!
