Week 9: Waverly at Minford
Week 9: Waverly at Minford
Thoughts and predictions…..
Waverly has been competitive in all but two games. They have lost games by three, two and one point. Two of the games they lead late and the other a chance to win on a two point conversion attempt with no time on the clock. It feels good to be competitive and fans and players are still motivated and excited about the last two games and next year. Now can they notch a win?

Waverly walks away victorious! IMO minford won't be able to stop waverly's offense. Should be a close game though. 35-21
Re: Week 9: Waverly at Minford
If Waverly plays with the same fire that they can did Friday they should win by 2 to 3 touchdowns. Waverly is talented. I'm still confused how they haven't won more games.

Not meaning to be degrade any player or staff at Waverly, but losing becomes contagious, expected, and the norm. Two season ending wins would help overcome that illness and be a springboard for next season.
Re: Week 9: Waverly at Minford
Minford coming off a big loss to Burg where they could do nothing right and Waverly coming off a heart breaking loss to West. Should be quite the game but I think Waverly will take a little bit of what they learned from the final seconds of the West game and apply it to this and see a little more opened up offense. Waverly takes this one by 2 scores

I am not sure the last year that Waverly came out on top over the Falcons, but this is the year they will do it if Minford plays sloppy.
Freshman QB, best RB our for the year....could be trouble for Minford. I hope I'm wrong.

Waverly was banged up following the West game. Injuries could be key for the Tigers. A healthy Tiger squad should beat the Falcons but it could get interesting should there be significant injuries.

Is Minford still banged up? Injuries still plaguing the Falcons? Anybody?

After last week with the Pirates not sure tigers have much to worry about. Almost no offense to score. Think the Tigers might get one here. Somebody should win. Can't be 0-0 can it? If both teams suffer with injuries still perhaps it could go down to battle of the bands.

Burg shutout Waverly 2 weeks ago too. Not sure that really matters tho. Waverly will win. Minford will go 0-4 this year in the SOC.RxBurgFan wrote:After last week with the Pirates not sure tigers have much to worry about. Almost no offense to score. Think the Tigers might get one here. Tigers give up QB scramble for a TD on 4th and 15 at the 21 and trail 13-0 midway through 2nd.
Re: Week 9: Waverly at Minford
Tiger drive stopped at the 18 to end the half. Sounds like the Tigers aren't mentally in it. Unsportsmanlike penalty with the ball around the 15 and then runner runs out of bounds at the 18 (short of the first down) on 4th and 15 with room to pick up the first down. Tigers down 13-0.
