Wasn’t his knee at Meigs anyway it was his gluteus maximus or buttock muscle. That bothered him at MeigsA-Town Big Dog 2 wrote:His knee issue goes back way further than Meigs, he has had a few instances since last basketball season and it was checked out again this week by the OU training staff. The knee has not ever nor does it now have any structural or ligament damage, he does have some tendonitis (which has been reported even by major news outlets) that has flared up from time to time but he will be totally fine. The training staff did recommend that he take the week off to rest but with it being senior night this Friday, I wouldn't count him out totally, although I would bet on a lot of playing time for Wiseman again this week at QB.athens78 wrote:How' Burrow knee? I know he came up limping against meigs after going down once and then hurt last week. Hope it's nothing bad and he bounces back.

I hate to say this but at this time of the season a team that gets off the accelerator too early that has a shot at a long play-off is hurting their chances. The starters have to play deep into the game if for no other reason than for game conditioning going into the play-offs. You maybe very selective in your play calling but they have to play.

Don't fans from every team claim they have a D-1 athlete or athletes on their team?Alexander Hitman wrote:Ok all you RV fans. Rumor I heard was you got a lineman

Athens has been known to put a lot of points on the scoreboard. Do you think they can hit the 100 mark?

No. They could have put up 100 probably 20 or so times in the past couple of years if they really wanted to but they didn't and certainly won't this week either. 60 or 70 now that may be another question.manwithplan wrote:Athens has been known to put a lot of points on the scoreboard. While the fans may want to see the 100 points scored, this coaching staff has too much class to allow that to happen.

The 82 Points scored was Self-Inflicted by Wellston...
Athens did not set out to score as many points possible...
They took advantage of Wellston's Mistakes (Fumbles, Penalties, 3&Outs)...
Had Wellston simply took care of the ball, and erased the unnecessary roughing the holder penalties (4 total), then the Athens JV would not have scored so much in the 2nd Half...

If 82-7 looks bad to you Then just look at it as a baseball score Athens won 12 to 1ucantcme wrote:spartans_fan wrote:While the fans may want to see the 100 points scored, this coaching staff has too much class to allow that to happen.

Athens by 10.
10 touchdowns.

Not sure about any of that. Just sure NY is gonna be the upset special in the TVC Ohio this year. The Bucks are gonna employ the sprinkler defense they saw Meigs use on film. Looks like the NFL guy is coach of the year again.

Re: Week 9 River Valley @ Athens
Davy better be coach of year, or the whole league is a joke. No one gave the Bucks a chance this year and they have wrapped up at least second in the Ohio, and a playoff spot. No disrespect to Adams but anyone could win with the players Athens has. Athens won't score 80 on them either. Davie will hold them under 40 by grounding it out with the 3 Headed Monster, and if they would get lucky and get to run it up like they did against Wellston there will be he11 to pay.PitStop Billy wrote:spartans_fan wrote:While the fans may want to see the 100 points scored, this coaching staff has too much class to allow that to happen.

I don't know about anyone else, but I had high expectations for NY. Been saying since the summer they would finish 8-2 (with the win over Logan) or 7-3 if they fell to the Chieftains.

Yes you would say that since you want your coach to be COY. :122249 But seriously, with all the freshmen and sophmores that are starting for the Bucks, no one really gave them a chance. They are one bad call away from being 7-1 right now. If they hold Athens under 50 on turf even you will be shocked. Well I think Davey will have something ready for them that will surprise everyone.
