It's a kids game and for most that ever wore a uniform know posts made on an insignificant chat site will have ZERO bearing on the outcome....No locker room material will be needed and after the initial contact on the first kickoff it'll all be forgotten anyway....Get a hot dog, a bag of popcorn, and a coke....Kick back in the packed house and enjoy the game....I hope the Indians come out on top but more importantly to me I hope both teams come out healthy...I want to see both team make a run in the playoffs...GO INDIANS!!!

Good point. For some reason football had this kind if effect on guys like us. You didn't have to be very skilled to crack some skulls. That's why every dude in America loves this game. Most of us think we can still hit like a freight train or juke like a mouse. Now we all can coach and analyze the game like Ron the jaws jawsowski. In two weeks no one will hardly remember what went on in this game. Most of us will have to check joe eitel to remember the score. It's entertainment, but it's still played by young guys.

Its OK man next year will come.. As for this game I think it will be a defensive battle! Burg wins this year!
Me too. Everyone who went to school with you knows that. We prolly had the least snobbish kids in our classed.

That is correct, they are playing tonight at Valley and both the 7th and 8th grade Burg teams are undefeated. With a win tonight the 8th grade team will be undefeated for 2yrs in a row, they were undefeated as 7th graders last year.

Very excited to watch this game tonight! The 8th graders going for the perfect 16-0 record in Junior High. The 8th grade gave at least three teams their first loss this year...I know Minford, Fairland and West.

Great group of talented players on both the 7th and 8th grade teams!

Out of the area, does any of the Burg people know how the Freshmen and Jr varsity have done this fall?

Not for sure but from what I have heard they are doing very well. They have some big kids and a couple good skill players.

Valley's big tight end was ejected at his last soccer game. Does that mean he is ineligible to play football on Friday?

Back to the game, Burg has has some intense practices this week. Look to be primimg the pump. I look for W'Burg to come out firing on all cylinders. This is a ball control game IMO. Turnovers would hurt either team and a fundamentally sound game will have to be played by either side. Whoever makes the least mistakes will win. Burg will force Valley's hand this week. After the last 3 years I believe Burg will be trying to make a statement in this one. Some have said that there is no reason Burg shouldn't score 60 on Valley. I don't see it happening tho, Unless it get's into a shootout and we all know the chances of that are really slim. Either way this will be a great game between 2 programs that are class act's. Could someone hit the fast forward button now please.

I have no knowledge of an ejection, but Valley was eliminated in soccer last week, so if that were the rule, the TE would have set out against South Point last Friday.

After the West game I would have agreed with you that those games will not be pretty to watch, but I watched Valley give Minford all they wanted two weeks ago. It was a 2 point game in the 4th quarter. That team has some ability and a handful of kids that will grow into very good high school players. Tonight could actually be a pretty decent game.

Thanks, CB. The bylaws state 'the next sport' or something like that. I'm sure the rule has in mind the next season; didn't know if this situation had ever emerged since that rule was put in place.

I am not sure how much you know about soccer, but my understanding is that he received 2 yellow cards which results in disqualification from the contest, but if you receive a red card in soccer you are out that contest and the following 2 and that penalty would be carried over to the following season. I am pretty sure he received double yellow cards 2-3 times this year, so if you had to sit 2 football games for each, he would have been out nearly the whole season.

Nobody have a stroke or go into shock on what I'm about to say..

I have to agree with you Jolly! Now, can somebody get Jolly a cold towel or some smelling sauce please! I think this will be a close game. The team with the least turnovers will be your winner. I think that the kicking game could be extremely vital in the outcome as well! Punting in a low scoring game and field position could be extremely crucial. The return of some key players for Valley could make this closer than expected. Either way; I hope for a injury free game for both teams and good sportsmanship from both sidelines! Very strong playoff potential game.

Psychological edge goes to the Indians. They've had pirates number for several years. Can the pirates find a way? Think it will come down to who can make a few stops? Hopefully doesn't come down to special teams play. Pirates struggle with giving up huge returns on kicks and don't return kicks all that well.
