I think this could be a very high scoring game for both teams
Thoughts?

Have you ever seen a game at Death Valley? He's probably not far off on the official thing. There's a reason they hardly ever schedule any away games.

Good luck to the Bulldogs. Big Red by 14.

Big Red played there only away game last week and lost to Massillon Washington in a close game... The Ohio Valley has a preps forum similar to ours and guess what the big red fans are complaining about.... the officiating.....LOL.... Athens better bring there A-game or it could be a long night..... Be rooting for Athens in this one but realize they are going against a premier program...

Should be a great game! Being a Big Red alum I am going with them 28-21. I think playing in Death Valley will be Difficult for Athens.

Get to the game early for parking and a good seat.

Match wise

Offense
Run steub
Passing Athen

Defense
Against the run Steub
Against the pass Steub

Special teams. Not sure

Home field advantage will be big

Athens will host a playoff game win or lose this game. Scheduling Steubenville was the best thing they could do to prepare them for the playoffs. Best team Athens will face until week 12.

If Athens looses this one, hosting a play-off game will be a very remote possibility. However, do not think they will loose. As for Athens being intimidated and such, that will not happen either.

That's always their complaint when they lose an away game. Hell, I went to a couple of the Massillon/Big Red games at Massillon over the last few years, and Big Red fans were complaining about how they were going to lose the game because of the officials before freakin' halftime.

While it's a premier program, luckily for Athens, Stueby isn't exactly the same dominating Big Red team that everyone is used to seeing. They are playing them at the right time. I think it's a very winnable game for the Bulldogs if they can overcome going into Death Valley. I doubt they have every played a more intimidating venue.

A couple buddies from work went to the Ursuline at Steubenville game in week 3. An Ursuline defensive player injuried the Steubenville QB on a hard, clean hit. The next tackle that player made, the refs threw a penalty for a personal foul and tossed the player out of the game. They said they just looked at each other and said "wow". It was clearly retaliation from the refs for the kid hurting the Big Red QB. Welcome to Death Valley.

I hope Athens wins and I wish them well. Played at a neutral site and Athens wins convincingly with a running clock in the second half.

Absolutely ! Athens may or may not win, but this is the game they need to prepare . Big athletic players of Steub. , the Blue Bros., Richmond and others are something that Athens simply doesn't see very often. If Burke plays, I believe Steub. wins. I might make the trip up from Bellaire to see this game.

Athens Fans need not worry about parking and seating, plenty of it. Harding Stadium seats 8,000 comfortably, 10,000 packed house.

This isn't Vinton, or Warren, or one of the worst Zanesville teams in recent memory Athens is facing this week. No 60-point game here.
Steubenville is physical, in no doubt a bad mood after losing at Massillon, and IMO hold the Bulldogs to less than 25 points (if that).
My crystal ball says Big Red by 18+
